The appropriate Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which is the process consists of a sequence of activities performed for developing that software product is selected. During those activities, there are various information related to software product development and are used to communicate among parties involved. This information is often specified in SDLC documents using natural language. Unfortunately, the problems of interpretation and difficulty of understanding are arisen and often caused by characteristic of natural language itself, which is ambiguous, and the inappropriateness of document structure. These problems which are some of the interested open questions in software requirements specifications area may influence on software product discrepancy from customer's actual needs. To mitigate these problems, this paper proposes a method for assessing quality of SDLC documents characteristics focusing on document contents and structure. The measurement process model is used as a guideline for proposing the method and the measurement information model is applied to define metrics which are used to assess SDLC documents characteristics directly. A Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) document was used to illustrate our proposed method as a case study. The result of the proposed method can be used to indicate the quality level of SDLC documents and appeared flaws, which leads to the improvement of SDLC document quality. The improved SDLC documents can enhance the quality of communication among stakeholders and support the software product development to meet customer's actual needs. Increased need of computing and reliability are other factors of cloud based datacenters to be grown in number. However, energy consumption by Cloud based Datacenters draw negative attention as they consume considerable amount of energy while in operation. Researchers have proposed various techniques to improve the power consumption scenario of virtualized datacenters. Energy-aware dynamic Virtual Machine consolidation is one of the techniques where utilization of datacenters are monitored and underutilized datacenters are shutdown by migrating VM to other capable datacenters. In this research, we are proposing a new virtual machine consolidation algorithm by doing amalgamation of heuristic approach & migration control and compare it to other heuristic methods which are already proposed in literature. To avoid this problem of ambiguity we present an approach of model transformation to generate requirements based on SBVR (Semantics of Business Vocabulary and Business Rules). The information provided in source metamodel (NL) is automatically transformed into target metamodel (SBVR). SBVR metamodel can not only be processed by machine but also provides precise and reliable model for software design. Churning increases cost of the company as well as decreases the rate of profit. Generally, customer attrition can be identified when they initiate the process of service termination. At the same time, the individuals and the institutions that provide the data residing on the government databases-as well as the agencies who sponsor the collection of such information- are becoming increasingly aware that extend analytical capabilities also furnish tools that threaten the confidentiality of data records. However, using predictive analysis using customers past service usage, service performance, spending and other behavior patterns, the likelihood of whether a customer wants to terminate service can be determined. In this paper, the authors address the issue of churn analysis considering a scenario in which a company owning confidential databases wish to run a churn analysis technique on the union of their databases, without revealing any unnecessary information. Most existing assigned based on the information retrieval term frequency (tf) that appears in the document. Although the number of times that the term occurrence is more relevant, but not meant for rank documents according to their proximity to user's query. So this paper, we presented a new document semantic ranking process for the semantic ranking that proposes a new weight of query term in the document based on Computer Science Ontology weight. Analysts can view the performance measures via different perspectives provided by the available dimensions in data cubes. However, modeling of these meaningful dimensions and selection of informative measure is a difficult task for human data warehouse developers. In high dimensional environments, the sheer size and volume of data poses a number of challenges in order to generate meaningful data cubes. Nowadays, there is a growing requirement of automated and intelligent techniques that allows analysts to construct and explore the large cubes for better decision making. In this paper, we have reviewed the literature on intelligent data cubes construction and exploration. Literature review reveals that a number of techniques have been proposed to embed intelligence in data cubes. However, majority of the previously proposed technique targeted either on providing intelligence in cube construction or focused assisting the intelligent exploration of data cubes. However, there is very limited amount of work has been done in the integration of intelligent techniques for both cube construction and exploration. We believe that it is a strong area of research and the modern analytical systems demand the availability of intelligent techniques for both construction and exploration of large data cubes for making intelligent decisions. The objective of this paper is to present a critical review of the existing techniques and to propose a conceptual model that not only overcomes the individual limitations in the previous work but also merges the benefits of intelligent construction and exploration of cubes in parallel. Message Sequence Chart (MSC) notation is used for describing a communication scenario that can occur between communicating entities. Extensible Markup Language (XML) is used for defining the details of the messages sent during the communication scenario. The objective is that the proposed modelling approach can be used in different applications areas where monitoring of sequential activities is involved. As an experimental case, the proposed modelling approach is applied in part of network intrusion detection where intrusions and legitimate network traffic is modelled using the approach.
