Due to the variability in the prevalence of the node metastases in clinical and radiologically N 0 patient, and to the fact that node dissection is usually performed with the only purpose of the correct staging, it has been suggested the replacement of systematic lymphadenectomy by sentinel lymph node dissection during last decades.
