This gave rise to the concept of distributed interactive simulation, based on a network of simulation facilities. This simulation concept eliminates the use of a central server, thus reducing the simulation latency. This concept enables useful and productive work to be accomplished by adaptable and dynamic autonomous agents in real-time and real-world environments. Three primary issues of cooperative autonomous mobile agents are addressed being interaction, management and sustainability. The focus of this paper is the issue of interaction within a colony of cooperative agents while the issues of management and sustainability are scheduled for future research. The view of the agents as a colony is due to their number and the use of agent support structures. We particularly discuss the fundamental, heavily utilized function of color difference, which forms a basis for fast, efficient and parameterized chroma-key applications. We also explain the dice location estimation solution and the final template matching phase of number detection. Input-output linearization and decoupling technique based on the concepts of differential geometry, has been used to decouple the speed, or torque from flux. Optimal proportional-integral (P-I) controllers in flux and speed loops are designed to obtain desired dynamic and steady state responses. A new rotor flux observer has been designed to estimate the flux at all speeds. For the four operating modes chosen, non(sinusoidal) source voltage and non(linear) load impedance, core losses and windings losses of the transformer are computed using on-line measurements of the primary and secondary sides. The results are presented and compared in this paper with the experimental results of the active losses on the transformer, on the different operation modes. Active losses have been obtained on both the resistance of the core (R/sub fen/) and winding resistances (R/sub 1n/ and R/sub 2n/). Linear state models are obtained corresponding to the normal operating condition and different failure modes of the reactor. Each model is found to possess two time scale property. Application of a standard singular perturbation approach decouples the fast varying modes which are ignored to eliminate the stiffness. Thus a reduced model is obtained for each operating mode of the reactor. Convex programming is used to search for an output injection gain which stabilizes all reduced models simultaneously. With an eye toward digital implementation, the authors' approach to implementing H/sub /spl infin// output feedback controllers has emphasized issues like reasonable computational complexity, knowledge of observable quantities only, and implementability in finite time. Examples have been provided to investigate the robustness properties of the controllers we have developed. The Fourier transform model has been developed considering saturation and skin effect in the back iron. The flux dependent relative permeability of back iron that is required in the Fourier transform model has been obtained using FEM analysis.
