Los tipos monetales de temática militar son muy frecuentes en la numismática helena y con esta investigación se pretende localizar el mensaje lanzado e interpretado por las sociedades antiguas a través suyo. Para ello la metodología seguida ha sido analizar las emisiones realizadas en estas áreas geográficas antes de la invasión romana, contrastando la frecuencia de las representaciones en cada tipo de moneda y valor. Así es como se han podido extraer las razones de la elección de las representaciones y la importancia del tipo de mensaje expedido en virtud del valor de la moneda sobre la que se hacía.","PeriodicalId":40541,"journal":{"name":"Eikon Imago","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90065036","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It includes both the use of topoi of Tatars devastating the icons during Tatar incursions in the 13-16 centuries, general vision of the Turks and Tatars by the 17 and 18-centuries’ authors, and presentation of them as military enemies in the setting of wars between the Ottoman Empire and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth as well as reflection of these plots in the visual art. The research is based on the analysis of legends and miracles dating back to the 17-18th century and available visual material. It was shown that Christians of three main denominations –Orthodox, Catholics, Greek Catholics– represented the Turks and the Tatars in a similar way and the representation corresponded to the representation of other military enemies independently of religious believes.","PeriodicalId":40541,"journal":{"name":"Eikon Imago","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88920295","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Il performativo come soglia del modernismo secondo Harold Rosenberg e Clement Greenberg, passando per Allan Kaprow","authors":"Marcello Sessa","doi":"10.5209/eiko.76765","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5209/eiko.76765","url":null,"abstract":"Il presente contributo intende reinterpretare la nozione di performativo nell’ambito dei tentativi di ontologia dell’arte del modernismo americano di metà Novecento. Vorrebbe anzitutto sottolineare il ruolo anticipatore di certa critica d’arte – si pensa nella fattispecie a Clement Greenberg ma soprattutto a Harold Rosenberg – nel riconoscere il portato teorico del concetto e la sua incidenza nell’evoluzione del fatto artistico contemporaneo.Si analizzeranno nello specifico gli aspetti che coinvolgono il versante della performance nella concezione di opera d’arte modernista, ora secondo Rosenberg (per cui è conseguenza inevitabile della pittura d’azione cristallizzata in un ‘quadro-arena’), ora secondo Greenberg (che lo tratteggia in negativo come svalutazione dell’autodeterminazione del quadro che si fa ‘quadro-medium’).Si proseguirà poi verificando gli effetti del passaggio del performativo dal quadro all’ambiente e all’evento puro, prendendo a esempio la teoria dell’happening e della non-arte di Allan Kaprow, e la si confronterà con le precedenti.I risultati di tale ricognizione condurranno all’ipotesi che il performativo rappresenti, allo stesso tempo, una soglia della teoria dell’immagine modernista e una svolta verso il postmodernismo.","PeriodicalId":40541,"journal":{"name":"Eikon Imago","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88388235","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

En tanto las elecciones iconográficas del pintor aún no han sido indagadas, el presente artículo hará foco en los casos en los que una misma temática ha sido tratada de diferentes formas, como en las tres pinturas de la Coronación de la Virgen por la Santísima Trinidad. Tras la realización de un relevamiento de estampas europeas y pinturas coloniales y un análisis iconográfico y comparativo que buscó destacar los vínculos entre las imágenes, distinguimos dos tipologías que se diferencian por el modo de representación de la Santísima Trinidad y la resolución formal del manto de la Virgen. Nuestra propuesta es que ambas tipologías proponen una variación iconográfica que resultó efectiva en la época: uno de los modelos se asocia a una estampa de Karel Von Mallery que representa una Trinidad clásica – como lo estipulan los tratados–, mientras que el otro dialoga con una serie de pinturas cuzqueñas que presentan una iconografía sui géneris, de Trinidad antropomorfa y manto triangular de la Virgen.","PeriodicalId":40541,"journal":{"name":"Eikon Imago","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.1,"publicationDate":"2022-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74287382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Las enfermedades –flagelos recurrentes de variados síntomas– suscitan compasión en cuanto evocan al Cristo sufriente, pero también rechazo, pues son entendidos como manifestaciones de lo impuro y lo pecaminoso. Distintas miradas provocan, a su vez, variadas actitudes que dan cuenta de estructuras mentales que atraviesan lo político, lo jurídico, lo social, lo económico y lo simbólico. En este artículo puntualmente, nos focalizaremos en una enfermedad paradigmática del Medioevo como es la lepra que se asocia en el imaginario colectivo con lo oscuro y lo repulsivo y con los malatos rechazados y sufrientes. Este tema, a pesar de la recurrencia, continúa siendo materia de revisión. Así pues, apoyándonos en los discursos textuales e icónicos analizaremos el juego dialéctico que entablan las variadas concepciones sobre este flagelo que fueron conformando el mito de la enfermedad.
