The examples are brought, in particular, from the Romanian linguistic material, in order to demonstrate in such a way the necessity of researching language facts under their motivational aspect. At the same time, the terms proposed for the familiarization of all those interested in the given problem come to elucidate the research aspects of Motivology, which aims to study language phenomena from a different angle than the one carried out so far.\u0000

The women, the portraits of whom the novel is imparting, influence and shape various sociocultural contexts, moods, the relation of the ego to the self and, with them, their meaning as an archetype of meaning. The mystical love for Ligia-Victoria is, in fact, a hermeneutic of the self, of the discovery of the exit from the historical reality, hysterized by the new human condition – the Covid, and of the transformation of human consciousness through the flow from carnal to platonic love. The jasmine house with all its derivatives – the old, Victoria, Maia, the portrait of Ligia, expresses the profound fusion of the masculine and feminine into an archetypal self. In this way, beyond erotic adventures and sexual ecstasies, the protagonist, through a process of individuation, discovers eros as a mystical manifestation in a context of constraints such as pandemic. The hermeneutical investigation follows the analysis of female figures and the phantasms of eros for to order the whole soul of the hero.\u0000

In order to decrease the Absolute Poverty Rate, the paper proposes a way to determine the appropriate allowances. Achieving the objective is hampered by the fact that the existing Methodology for calculating the Absolute Poverty Threshold does not expressly contain the component related to the expenses for the electricity services provided. Such an algorithm is proposed in this regard using the structure of household consumption by categories of consumption, available at distribution companies. In order to be included in the new linguistic system, once accepted, the lexical innovations are subject to changes, adjustments in terms of phonetics, orthography, morphology, semantics. In the present work, we propose to follow some aspects of the integration of verbs of English origin in the Romanian morphological system. For the analysis, we used verbal formations taken from the English language, which penetration, use and frequency were favoured by the existence of the corresponding nouns in Romanian, these being previously assimilated to the respective verbs. Constituted of English neological roots by way of derivation with Romanian means of suffixation (-a, -iza, -i, -ui), being calqued, translated, developing new meanings in different fields, the anglicisms-verbs are included, without much difficulty, in specific Romanian conjugations (the 1st and the 4th).\u0000

This paper deals with conceptual metaphor in marketing language. At the heart of metaphorical conceptualisations are mappings between different conceptual domains, linking a newer or more complex, more abstract domain with a more familiar or simpler, more accessible one. In addition to denotative terms, a vast network of conceptual metaphors operates in marketing language, helping to shape and understand its key concepts. The most numerous category of conceptual metaphors are created with the key marketing variables of product, brand, consumer, enterprise and promotion as their reference points. The most common metaphors in marketing language are the living organism metaphor, the war metaphor (including the sports metaphor), the anthropomorphic metaphor, the medical metaphor. Metaphor is not an isolated phenomenon, but a resource used systematically in marketing language, with a substantial role in building the economic reality of the field, facilitating the understanding of abstract and complex marketing concepts by analogy with familiar areas of experience.\u0000

Several issues regarding to stable polylexical units have been analysed from the motivational perspective: the genesis, existence and use of linguistic signs, whose signifiers are expressed by stable polylexical units, two types of semantic motivation (metaphorical motivation and symbol-based motivation) and intertextuality as a specific type of motivation. In the course of its history, each figurative expression has undergone its own evolution. Analyzing the syntactic neighborhoods of a certain polysemantic verb, with the matrix of obligatory thematic roles, characteristic for actantial, circumstantial or predicative relations, we notice that in the process of functioning, various transformational processes of a different nature take place. Following the research, it was found that these transformations modify the argumentative structure of the verb at the referential level, changing its semantic-syntactic structure, which allows it to pass from one semantic class to another to fully reveal its communicative role. Responsible for these would be the phenomenon of actantial derivation. Only two forms of actantial derivation were discussed – transitivization and intransitivization – given that transitivity, an unmarked semantic feature, influences the ability of the verb to accumulate meanings with different syntactic patterns. It was found that there is an obvious oscillation between the positive or negative marking of transitivity and the realization of a verb as intransitive or transitive. The phenomenon of free syntactic variation also participates in the diversification of the syntactic structure of a polysemantic verb, which allows the operation of semantically equivalent but syntactically different variants.\u0000

The goal involves the use of interlingual structural-semantic modeling of proverbs to identify complete proverbial analogues in different languages, identical structural models of proverbs, identical proverbial images and concepts. The material for the study was 320 Swedish proverbs, which are interlingual correlates of Belarusian proverbs. Proverbs-analogues in the Swedish and Belarusian languages are differentiated according to the nature of the interlingual community into two typologically significant groups: universal proverbs and international proverbs. Interlingual correlates of Swedish and Belarusian proverbs, which have the same structural models, are differentiated into several typologically significant groups depending on the nature of the variability of the lexical composition, due to the difference in the conceptual and figurative plan of proverbs. As a result of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that in the Swedish language there are a significant number of proverbs that are full or partial correspondences of the most commonly used Belarusian proverbs. A comparative analysis based on the structural-semantic modeling of proverbs made it possible to differentiate Swedish and Belarusian proverbial parallels into three typologically significant groups of units: similar proverbs, proverbs with identical structural models, proverbs with identical images and concepts. Swedish proverbs containing images and concepts identical to Belarusian proverbs are characterized by partial ethnocultural marking of their content, as well as the absence of a strict connection between the correlation in the content of proverbs in different languages and the presence of identical images and concepts in proverbs. The absence of such a connection indicates the typological similarity of the figurative-conceptual spaces of the Swedish and Belarusian proverbial pictures of the world, in which manifestations of interlingual community and national specificity are deeply mutually determined.

Korsch and Grigory E. Saenger. Being only a part of their epistolary legacy, it is of undisputable interest both for the history of classical education in Russia and for the history of philological scholarship. The publication includes personal letters and letters discussing textual problems of various works of ancient literature. The Latin correspondence, which is not a voluminous part of the entire academic correspondence of these two authors, is mostly located in the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow), while separate letters have also been preserved in the Russian State Library (Moscow) and the National Library of Russia (Saint Petersburg). In the correspondence, the two scholars discuss general issues of philological studies and ancient culture, as well as some practical issues related to their professional activities. A prominent place is occupied by the letters in which they discuss possible conjectures to the poetic response of Emperor Hadrian to the poet Florus, as well as to Virgil’s Aeneid and the works of Horace. A significant feature of this correspondence is that some of the letters are in verse, and both Korsch and Saenger were certainly among the best masters of Latin versification of their time in the Russian Empire. For letters in Latin, paper of a smaller format was chosen (generally postcards). All materials are published for the first time. Brief footnotes are offered for each letter allowing a reader to have a more comprehensive understanding of both the specific features of the correspondence and the personalities and issues that are mentioned in them.
