The FiT gives much emphasis on the solar photovoltaic (PV). This paper presents, first, an overview of solar PV in Malaysia until the present time. Next, a general concept of the FIT Malaysia is explained and finally the loan financing option for solar PV is presented. It also analyses the impact of the proposed interest rate to household consumers in Malaysia, in terms of the total profit, the net present value and the internal rate of return. It is found that the FiT scheme could potentially help in increasing renewable energy penetration, particularly for solar PV. The relationship between perception of organizational politics, job satisfaction and organizational commitment was examined among 60 staff (both academic and non-academic) in UiTM Sarawak. Three standard instruments: Perception of Organizational Politics Scale (POPS) by Kacmar and Carlson (1994); Job satisfaction by Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) by Paul E. Spector (1994) and Organization Commitment Scale by Meyer and Allen (1991). Results of the instrument's Cronbach Alpha measurement show that the score of reliability is above. 80 which indicates an acceptable level. Perception of organizational politics was found to have a negative relationship with job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The findings of this study may help top management to design organizational strategies to curb organizational politics and reduce its negative effect on job attitudes. Nevertheless, despite it being deemed to be a Shari'ah compliant instrument, the validity of the contract in its essence or even in its execution has been repeatedly challenged in a number of cases in Malaysia. This paper discusses on the importance of understanding the significance of the BBA in the eyes of Maqasid Shari'ah. It also attempts to highlight the legal issues in landmark cases involving BBA instruments. Thus, visually impaired people encounter many challenges in day-today travelling. Identifying and avoiding obstacles in the environment is the most crucial among them. To empower blind navigation, numerous electronic travel aids were created in the past few decades, by using various obstacle sensing technologies such as sonar, infrared, and stereo vision. However, optical flow estimations based navigation, which is heavily used by insects and experimented in the field of robotics, has not been used in them. This project aimed to evaluate the potential optical flow estimation based techniques has in guiding a visually impaired person to avoid obstacles using auditory and tactile feedback. To demonstrate the researched core concepts, a prototype consisting of a virtual reality world was designed and developed. It also employs an existing optical flow algorithm for motion estimation, other image processing techniques, speech synthesis for auditory feedback and embedded programming for tactile feedback. The modular design of the prototype enables it to be used either in simulation mode, or as a standalone application in a real world environment. The system utilised routinely available information in healthcare settings as the minimum dataset. The UNU-IIGH has devised the UNU Casemix Grouper that is currently being used as the casemix grouping engine in a number of developing countries. In the next stage of development, UNU-IIGH plans to deploy the system using the cloud computing platform. The term “cloud computing” denotes the use of Internet-based computers for a variety of computing application services known as Software as a Service (SaaS). As definitions evolve and refine, cloud computing now implies the move away from centralised computing applications into remote applications running in a “cloud” of computers. Users of cloud computing are not concerned with the inner workings of the remote application and only “see” and “use” the services being requested, without control of the technology infrastructure to make it happen. It is envisaged that through cloud computing, the users of the UNU Casemix Grouper will not be overburdened with the initial capital cost for the infrastructure development required for using the casemix grouper. With cloud architecture, the UNU grouper would be able to support the implementation of casemix system to a wider audience especially in developing countries with limited local IT infrastructure. This will ensure that developing countries with limited development budget and basic IT infrastructure has access to much-needed tools like casemix grouper; as well as introduce much needed financial efficiency and clinical quality to their healthcare system. Nowadays, designers tend to use the directional wave statistics for the design of offshore structures. The main reason is to obtain the optimum design of the structures for cost and time effectiveness. In this paper, an experimental investigation on dynamic responses of spar platform subjected to multi-directional waves is presented. The model tests were performed in the wave tank of Offshore Engineering Laboratory of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. In the tests, a standard cosine spreading law was added to the Pierson-Moskowitz (P-M) and JONSWAP spectra to generate the multi-directional waves. The response data were collected and processed to obtain the dynamic responses of the spar model in terms of RAOs. These irradiation technologies require specific dosimeter systems for process control. In this research project, Rhizophora Apiculata dye solutions have been characterized as a function of day exposure to sunlight by measuring the FTIR spectra using Shimadzu FT-IR 360 instrument. From the FTIR spectra results, it was found that the intensity of the C=O, C-H and C-OH stretching vibration decreased with the increased of day exposure for up to 30 days. The objective of this paper is to conduct a comparative study on two different urban fabrics, using thermal comfort and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods. Results relate the effects of urban canyon's orientation on variation of the microclimate factors and consequently, on the thermal comfort situation in the hottest period of the year. The results indicate that traditional urban fabric is more thermally comfortable than the new residential urban fabric. According to the field measurements, thermal comfort calculation, and wind simulations, the canyons with North-South direction represent a better orientation for air circulation benefiting from sea breezes as compared to other canyon orientations. The purposes of the study are to enhance the quality of radiographic image using noise removal methods and analyze the image quality using error measurement metrics. Median, gaussian, average and circular averaging filters are the noise removal methods applied on original radiographic image to produce processed image. Then, the processed image are measured in terms of Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Maximum Absolute Error (MAXABS), Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). Besides that, the image quality is also measured using Modulation Transfer Function (MTF). Results show that gaussian filter gives the best enhancement of image quality based on error metrics and MTF. Islam is the official religion of Malaysia, however, there are still no specific guidelines for developers to build and design the internal part of houses for Muslim accordingly to Islamic teachings or to their Creator's requirements. The principal aim of this research is to produce basic Islamic guidelines for the developers to build and design the internal part of houses for Muslims in this country. Data was gathered from public, mainly Malaysian Muslims who owned a house or more than a house via questionnaire survey and supplemented by a personal interview with an experienced person from an urban developer company in Kuala Lumpur. The study revealed that several Muslims are still lack of knowledge on the proper Islamic ways or teachings when choosing the design of a house especially the interior part of it. This means that they are unaware on the importance of having the Islamic knowledge of choosing and buying a house or houses accordingly to their Creator's requirements which have been expressly inside the Al-Quran and Sunnah.
