These irradiation technologies require specific dosimeter systems for process control. In this research project, Rhizophora Apiculata dye solutions have been characterized as a function of day exposure to sunlight by measuring the FTIR spectra using Shimadzu FT-IR 360 instrument. From the FTIR spectra results, it was found that the intensity of the C=O, C-H and C-OH stretching vibration decreased with the increased of day exposure for up to 30 days.
