Such data must be integrated into a unified format. Traditional data integration approaches are not adapted to handle complex data. Thus, we exploit the Active XML language for integrating complex data. Its XML part allows to unify, model and store complex data. Moreover, its services part tackles the distributed issue of data sources. Accordingly, different integration tasks are proposed as services. These services are managed via a set of active rules that are built upon metadata and events of the integration system. In this paper, we design an architecture for integrating complex data autonomously. We have also designed the workflow for data integration tasks.","PeriodicalId":404577,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Machine and Web Intelligence","volume":"151 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124227306","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We use then this generated knowledge to create knowledge-driven cartographies. School websites are essential to share information and data between users, but the knowledge contained in these websites are often informal and difficult to locate. This is due to the large amount of existing pages which make navigation more complex. Then, to simplify knowledge localization, we map the school website content and generate ontology-driven visual cartographies where users can find the school teachers' skills and knowledge. Our automatic method and tool enables us to process a large collection of web pages in a short time. Our method comprises four steps: data preparation, ontology domain construction, mapping and visualization.","PeriodicalId":404577,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Machine and Web Intelligence","volume":"209 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132185329","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This on-line dictionary was developed as part of the FSP project to allow researchers from both side of Mediterranean Sea to exchange and to share knowledge in the human and social sciences domain. The present extension would allow off-line collaborative edition, scalability, management of inter-wikis link, an advanced search for constructing the global sheet by interrogating specific peers and finally a wiki page replication strategy to ensure data availability. The system architecture and the prototype are presented.","PeriodicalId":404577,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Machine and Web Intelligence","volume":"183 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121189247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A requirement shared by these very different applications is the ability to learn statistical models of appearance and motion from a collection of videos, and then use them for recognizing actions or persons in a new video. Measuring the similarity and dissimilarity between video sequences is crucial in any video sequences analysis and decision-making process. Furthermore, many data analysis processes effectively deal with moving objects and need to compute the similarity between trajectories. In this paper, we propose a similarity measure for multivariate time series using the Euclidean distance based on Vector Autoregressive (VAR) models. The proposed approach allows us to identify and recognize actions of persons in video sequences. The performance of our methodology is tested on a real dataset.","PeriodicalId":404577,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Machine and Web Intelligence","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116986333","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first approach combines principal component analysis (PCA) and modified fuzzy one-against-one (MFOAO) method for multiclass categorization. The fuzzy one-against-one method (FOAO) converts the n-class problem of classification to n(n-1)/2 two-class problems, and performs the binary classification with SVM. It was introduced to solve the problem of the unclassified regions induced by the classical pairwise classification one-against-one. Our novel modified algorithm of FOAO uses fuzzy support vector machine (FSVM) for the binary classification in order to discard outliers. The second approach integrates PCA, unbalanced clustering (UC) and FOAO algorithms. PCA is used to extract the principal characteristics of the signal and reduce its dimension. UC algorithm is used to discard outliers, and reduce the training set by replacing samples with prototypes. The first goal of this work is to compare the ability of the two novel methods to discard outliers and enhance the performance of the classification with PCA and FOAO; the second one is to highlight the efficiency of the combined method PCA-UC-FOAO in the classification of long term ECG records.","PeriodicalId":404577,"journal":{"name":"2010 International Conference on Machine and Web Intelligence","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-11-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126613344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, each user wants to control how interact with his environment, in particular which services or data he is ready to share with this environment. Consequently, it is necessary to ensure a transparent access to the resources form any point of the pervasive space, to any probably identified and authenticated user and at any moment. Domotic is a pervasive space; Living space of the disabled andor assisted persons is a particular case of domotic. In this paper, we suggest implementing a management and an access control based on policies to ensure the safety in a pervasive space where the information can be privileged andor confidential.
