One of the principles of constructing their theatrical space is, in the author’s opinion, the principle of memories, which takes place on the stage, transferring the world remembered to the universe of theater. Thus understood, the dramas become not only a testimony to Evreinov’s interest in the transformation of the theater but there is also the unusual testimony of his journal, an album of photographs. Images from the past are kept in these photos, but at the same time they are a warning against rejecting the present, because, as the author shows, such a world can only exist in the theater. The author verifies the thesis essence on the material the novel’s title from the collection Demonic woman and her Polish variant in the translation of Julian Tuwim. Bajkowska, Z. Gadzinianka, T.G. Lipszyc, E. Niepokólczycka, I. Piotrowska, B. Reszko, and A. Tyszkowska. The study material consists of 43 equivalents and is presented in three separate groups referring to structural-and-semantic, semantic as well as affixational occasionalisms. The transformation taking place in Ukraine encouraged Poles’ interest in their south-eastern neighbour. This popularity is not yet reflected in their acquaintance with Ukrainian literature published in Poland. This shows that Ukraine is still perceived through a political rather than literary or cultural perspective. They were excerpted from “Tygodnik Ilustrowany”. The author explores all annuals of the questioned newspaper, namely the period 1918–1939. She tried to interpret in a semantic way the collected lexical russicisms in respect of their definitions in definitional dictionaries of Polish language, in etymological dictionaries and in other sources. The following topic groups concerning the army were distinguished taking into consideration the noted lexicon, topic groups differing as far as the meaning is concerned: weapon names, military reinforcement, divisions and subdivisions, rank and military occupational specialty, soldiers designation and armies names. Formal and semantic borrowings dominated in the field. Word-formative calques were found on the second place. This discipline works on the border of theoretical linguocultural studies and methodology of teaching a foreign language. The paper presents Multimedia Linguo-cultural Dictionary available on the webpage of Pushkin State Russian Language Institute. The author analyses the macro- and microstructure of the dictionary, focusing on its innovativeness. Entries in the dictionary are described in their entirety, considering references to the real world, which are essential in the socio-cultural functioning of every language, its description and teaching.
