These methods are applied to three-objectives parallel machine scheduling problems, whose objective functions consist of makespan, the weighted sum of completion time, the weighted sum of tardiness, the weighted sum of earliness and tardiness, and setup costs. The accuracy of the proposed machine learning and inverse optimization methods is evaluated. A surrogate model that learns input-output data is proposed to reduce the computational efforts. Computational results show the effectiveness of the proposed method for weighting factors in the objective function from the optimal solutions.","PeriodicalId":403477,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121245517","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our experiment, using 125 food images from a food recording tool on smartphone applications, demonstrates that the proposed method significantly increased average F-measure by 4.22% or more compared with both the conventional method using local extrema and food extraction using DNN trained with 1017 food images. Our proposed method also increased average precision and recall by 0.13% or more and 11.38% or more, respectively. We also discussed the effectiveness and the future development of food extraction using the saliency detection model and saliency thresholding method on the basis of experimental results.","PeriodicalId":403477,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133217161","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When a measurement signal loss is detected, the proposed estimator switches gains and continues to update the estimate based upon last received measurement. The gains are computed in advance by means of a common solution of linear matrix inequalities so that the estimation is suboptimal with respect to the mean square error in the steady state. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated/evaluated via numerical simulations.","PeriodicalId":403477,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127841549","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As we all know, the corona virus (COVID-19) has a great impact on economy and society since December 2019. Many people have still been suffering from COVID-19 infection. The control of COVID-19 infection is an emergent issue in epidemiology. One of characteristics of COVID-19 infection is the existence of subclinical infections. Hence, we analyze the stability of the infectious disease under subclinical infections in this paper. In the realistic spread of the infectious disease, environmental change and individual difference cause some kinds of random fluctuations in the model parameters. So, we introduce the random fluctuation into consideration in the model construction and we propose the stochastic infectious models with subclinical infections. Since the stability analysis of the infectious model is effective in the control of the spread of the infectious disease, we analyze the stability of the stochastic infectious model with subclinical infections. By numerical simulations, we show the efficacy of the stability theorems derived in this paper and consider the influence of the random noise on the stability using the Lyapunov exponent.","PeriodicalId":403477,"journal":{"name":"Transactions of the Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineers","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127119446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
