In this study, we exploit the invariant associations between different areas of the referenced and sensed images. Mostly existing registration methods are only interested in the extraction of points of interest without taking into account their quality and matching. Our method responds to this problematic because it involves firstly to find a class of separate and independent keypoints which are unchanging to different geometric transformations such as translation, rotation and scaling in addition to photometric constraints and viewpoint adjustments by using the SIFT (Scale Invariant Features Transform) Detector. Then, the matching strategy of SIFT is replaced by a fast k-nearest neighbour algorithm based on the Haar wavelet transform to reduce the space of interest points pair. Finally, to solve the problem of geometric constraints and to estimate the transformation matrix between stereo image pairs, features pairing are filtered using the RANSAC (RANdom Sample Consensus) algorithm. The final warping of the images conforming to the chosen key points is completed by applying a projective transformation and used in a multi-band blending to create a perfect panorama. Experiments on various remote sensing images show the effectiveness and the robustness of our method.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"177 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126448398","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have focused on how to achieve appropriate Q-factors and bit error rates, by analyzing the performance on the basis of transmission distance from 5 to 100 km in terms of Q-factor, minimum BER and output power. When dispersions are lowest and ONUs number is highest, EDFA-EDFA provides better Q-factors, and lower BERs and output powers.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"106 S117","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120851058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performances of this new Y-splitter has been determined by using the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) and plane wave expansion (PWE) methods. We have chosen a hexagonal lattice 21×21 as a basic structure to design our Y-splitter. As the results, the power spectra on TM mode is exactly superposed of the two output ports of the Y-splitter device. The Simulation results confirm also that; the proposed splitter provides a relatively higher transmission efficiency. The splitting ratio for 50-50 was about at 44 %, and the total radiation loss has minimized to 12 % (about 0.555 dB for each output port). So, the proposed Y-splitter is considered as an excellent device for the development of optical communication systems.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128234334","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, governments invest millions of dollars in the protection and the identification of citizens’ personal data and use different types of biometric data modalities (iris, fingerprints, faces, etc.) for the recognition of the individual. The iris modality requires special and adequate treatment so that the biometric recognition system can recognize the person and this by going through several stages: image acquisition, segmentation, normalization, feature extraction and finally matching. The segmentation is a delicate step for the iris localization. The process detects the iris by two concentric circles, the first circle for the pupil region and the second circle for the iris region. The two most widely used methods in the literature are the John Daugman method (Intergro-Differential Operator) [7] and the Hough Transform circular [8]. The method of John Daugman detects the iris region and the pupil as well as the arches of the upper and lower eyelids. The Hough circular transform makes it possible to obtain the coordinates of the radius, the center of the pupil and the iris. The main objective is to obtain the essential information, which is the size of the pupil radius and the iris radius. And that makes it possible to crop the radius rl of the pupil and the radius r2 of the iris to have a good segmentation. Experiments were made on the following iris data: Casia-iris-interval v4 [21], Ubiris vl [23], MMU 1, MMU 2 [22] and the SDULMA-HCM iris database [24].","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131288311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In hybrid ALO-PSO, individuals in a new generation are created by different strategies of PSO and ALO that allows the creation of a new, richer population and superiority. The effectiveness of this hybrid approach is examined and confirmed by applying it on various test networks of 6 and 10 generators. The results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid PSO-ALO has better performance and gives a better solution compared with other heuristic algorithms in the recent literature.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130827260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, a Feed-Forward Back Propagation (FFBP) neural network has been developed in this paper to deal with this concern. This network uses the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) as the back-propagation training algorithm to tuning the network bias and weights. Furthermore, in order to show the merits of this strategy, a set of real experimental current-voltage (I-V) characteristics, measured from a commercialized PV module (Multi-crystalline Shell S75 PV module) are employed as the training and test datasets. These data are measured at nine irradiances (200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and $1000mathrm{W}/ mathrm{m}^{2})$. Finally, the real measured I-V characteristics and the estimated ones (using the trained network) are compared. The obtained results demonstrate clearly the high accuracy of the developed model to mimic the irradiance dependency of PV modules.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"64 3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121169493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Transmission Line Method (TLM) involving mutual coupling between conductors has been used. The transient behaviour of grounding grids buried in homogeneous and in heterogeneous soil has been evaluated into a complete time domain solution. Several simulations were carried out to study the influence of the electrical energy transport network, the nature of the soil and the location of the current injection point on the voltage level and impedance of the electrical network. Two configurations were presented in this study: in the first the current is in the center of the grid and in the second it is injected into a corner of the two grids. The obtained results show that the grid 1x1 gives the lowest transient potential when the injection point is in lower resistivity side, and the grid 2x2 presents better behavior when the current is injected at center point. Simulation results obtained show good agreement with those of previous work.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123543594","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
