Experimental device for simultaneously varying the distance between the electrodes and between the barriers, was manufactured. The visualization of the electrical disruptive path of the two systems is essential to support the disruption tests of these systems. The results emanating from the experimental study have shown the existence of a perfect equivalence between the configurations rod - highly polluted barrier - plane with water drops and plane - plane sprayed. This analysis allowed us to establish a mathematical model showing the equality of the breakdown voltages of the systems mentioned air gap under very severe pollution conditions.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124349366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed method is built on the Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) algorithm, which is referred to here as Median Absolute Deviation (MAD)-CFAR. The new method does not need any prior information of the background situations, and employs the Median Absolute Deviation (MAD) test to detect the multipath signals (outliers) in the ranked cells for the full reference window. Once these multipath signals are automatically identified and censored, the remaining ranked cells are taken to form a homogeneous reference window (HRW) free of outliers to calculate the adaptive threshold. Monte Carlo simulations show that the new approach has a good detection performance, while competitors present a poor performance to varying degrees. Thus proving the efficiency and superiority of the new method in a multipath environment.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121516899","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The considered friction is affecting the cart of an inverted pendulum system without the pendulum. The proposed identification technique optimizes both of the static and the dynamic parameters simultaneously. It takes the advantages of the exploration capability of the evolutionary algorithm and the exploitation capability of the grey wolf optimizer to handle such nonlinear and multimodal optimization problem. Simulations have been conducted to assess the effectiveness of the proposed cooperative identification technique, and it is found to be significant in identifying both of the static and dynamic parameters accurately.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130444092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such systems try to retrieve all documents of a given writer without having a prior knowledge about its identity. This paper introduces the use of score level fusion for improving the retrieval results. Several rules that are based on Sum operator, triangular Norms and Co-norms are employed to combine outputs of several writer retrieval systems. The fusion step is carried out by considering three individual writer retrieval systems, that are based on Edge Hinge Distribution features, Run-length Local Binary Pattern and Histogram Of Templates. Experiments are conducted on ICDAR2011 dataset. The results obtained reveal that fusion rules can give an improvement around 2% in MAP over the scores derived from individual systems.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126891324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Compressed sensing is an original signal processing tool for efficiently acquiring and reconstructing a signal, by exploiting its compressibility. In this paper, compressive sensing is employed for speech coding. Particularly in this work and in order to demonstrate its efficiency in speech coding, we propose a comparative study between this method and optimal existing methods, namely, Code-excited linear prediction and LIoyd-Max quantization algorithm. The proposed speed controller employs an optimized fractional-order-proportional + integral + derivative (FOPID) regulator that serves to eliminate oscillations, overshoots, undershoots and steady state fluctuations of the PMDC motor and makes the wire-feeder unit (WFU) has fast and stable starting process as well as excellent dynamic characteristics. The fixed controller parameters are meta-heuristically selected via an ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm. Numerical simulations are performed in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and the performance of the proposed ACO-FOPID regulator is confirmed. The simulation results visibly present the considerable improvement rendered by the considered approach in the wire-feeder system’s reference tracking performance, torque disturbance rejection capability, and transient recovery time.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"235 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122956268","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Which also changed the vision of developers towards the Internet of Things, developers spend their time improving their software by adding new features offered by the new connected objects. Therefore the applications must change it behavior in order to be adapted for the new update.Developers spend an important time adapting their applications, reusing or rebuilding new module-based applications, either by composing or by directly reusing modules.These updates depend on the context and nature of this application. Usually, to update an application, we must stop, modify, recompile and restart the application. There may however be cases where this traditional maintenance process can not be applied to certain categories of applications, in which a complete service interruption can not be tolerated. These applications, described as ”non-stop”, must be dynamically reconfigured with minimal disruption.To solve this problem, we propose a system reconfiguration module in real time. Our model is based on a component approach. In this paper, we assume that components are the smallest entities in any system. We summarize the dynamic reconfiguration of a system by automating the disconnection or connection (direct or via an adapter) of components. The new configuration allows the system to achieve its objectives and ensure its proper operation under various conditions imposed by the environment.","PeriodicalId":401063,"journal":{"name":"020 1st International Conference on Communications, Control Systems and Signal Processing (CCSSP)","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129173926","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
