In Ayurveda stroke is described as Pakshaghata. The present study is a case report on management of stroke of a male patient aged 65 years with chief complaints of loss of function of the right upper & lower limb. He was a diagnosed case of stroke on the basis of clinical presentation and brain computed tomography-scan. The case treated with the Ayurveda medications was found to be effective in providing relief in chief com-plaints with improvement of overall health of the patient. Treatment protocol was Snehana, Swedana, Mriduvirechana, Basti karma, Shirodhara, Nasya along with internal medications. Before treatment NIH-Stroke Scale was 16 & Barthel index scale was 12 and after the treatment NIH-Stroke Scale was 4 & Barthel index scale was 70 providing symptomatic relief too. Ayurve-da is an age old time-tested system of traditional medicine that comes with even more deep rooted three fold fundamental approach Nidan Parivarjana (avoidance of causative factors), Shodhan (biocleansing treatment modality) and Shaman (palliative treatment). Shodhan mainly comes under the broader terminol-ogy Panchakarma, may seem quite simple in its application yet creates effects that are powerful and long-lasting, very famous for its approach for various ailments, especially chronic disorders. As the name sug-gests Panchakarma comprises five therapeutic procedures namely Vamana, Virechana, Nasya, Basti and Raktamokshana. It acts as a bio servicing mechanism for the human body just like the regular servicing of the transport vehicle. In the present piece of work, Vaman Karma has been described w.s.r. to its im-portance as a therapeutic regime to eliminate toxins, acting as a biopurificatory technique to maintain and obtain health; and to remove ailments, a concept of prevention over intervention. Vitiated Pitta is the main causa-tive factor in the pathogenesis of Kamala. In Ayurveda, Kamala is a next step of Pandu (anaemia). Ac-cording to Acharya Charaka, Kamala is mainly caused due to frequently consumption of Ushna (hot), Tik-shna (spicy) food i.e. Pittaprakopak Ahara (increasing level of Pitta). Due to these factors vitiation of Pitta (bile), Rakta (blood) and Mamsa (muscles) Dhatu will occur. Kamala is clinically correlated with jaundice due to its similarity of symptoms like yellowish of skin (Twak pitata), sclera (Netra), urine (Mutra), stool (Purisha) etc. In Kamala Vyadhi all Acharyas in Ayurveda texts has explained about Virechana Karma. Modern science has its own limitations in treating Kamala Vyadhi (jaundice) but Ayurvedic literature clearly explained pathology and treatment of Kamala Vyadhi which shows the specificity of Ayurveda. Jatyadi Ghrita is a ghee based Ayurvedic formula-tion useful for treatment of all kind of wounds by external application found in classical texts of Ayurveda. In this study an attempt has been made to develop standard for Jatyadi Ghrita by HPTLC method. It was prepared by standard laboratory reference of Ayurvedic formulary of India in three batches in RS & BK Laboratory NIA, Jaipur. The physicochemical tests performed on different samples of Jatyadi Ghrita such as acid value, saponification value, Total fatty matter, melting point, viscosity etc. Further standardization and comparative evaluation of laboratory sample and marketed sample done by instrument analysis per-formed on HPTLC finger printing profile. A Clinical Study was conducted at IPGT and RA, Jamnagar in Kaya Chikitsa de-partment to evaluate the efficacy of Virechan Karma with Eranda Taila and Trivrita Kwatha in patients suffering from Amavata and compared with the trial drug Kansa Haritaki described in Charak Samhita. Efficacy of both of these was compared with the known common drug Trayodashanga Guggulu. In this study, 38 patients of Amavata were registered, of which 29 patients completed the course of the treatment and 9 patients discontinued before completion of course against medical advice. The disease was diag-nosed on the basis of signs and symptoms as described in Ayurvedic and Modern text, aided by American Rheumatism Association Criteria (1988). RA factor test was done in all the patients. In Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita there is no clear cut description of Sweta musali. The Term Musali has been used for the first time in Ashtanga Hridya, which has been indicated for local application in Neelika (Blue moles) and Vyanga (Facial melanosis) as Complexion pro-moting. In Nighantu period the references for Sweta musali has been found at many places. The concept of beauty is gaining more & more attention globally, which is defined on some factors, among them hair is a significant one. Because of changes in our lifestyle & environmental conditions, a number of hair fall patients are increasing day by day. According to Ayurveda, loss of hair is termed as Khalitya. Yashtimadhu Churna is selected for study as it is a Keshya Dravya & also easily available & very economic. Material and Methods: In the present study 15 patients of hair fall were selected randomly & 3 gram of Yashti Churna was given in BD dose for 1 month. Results: Yashtimadhu Churna has significant effect on reducing roughness, itching and hair fall. Discussion: Yashtimadhu is useful drug to break this pathogenesis of Khalitya as it alleviates Vata & Pitta Doshas. The nine monthly diets are singularly unique to Ayurveda. It changes in accordance with the growth of the fetus in the womb and at the same time ensures health of the mother. The woman is considered as one of the most essential factors for the continuity of the human race. During Garbhavastha, she experiences lots of anatomical as well as physiological changes at the level of Dosha, Dhatu and Mala. These changes are nothing but maternal adaptation to the increasing demand of the growing fetus. The Growth and devel-opment of fetus requires more nutrition from mother. This causes increased workload on the maternal Dhatus, so she needs extra nutrition during Garbhavastha. Ayurveda has suggested a very good protocol Masanumasik Garbhini Paricharya i.e. Ahara (diet), Vihara (lifestyle), Vichara (psychological aspect) to be followed during pregnancy with respect to each month. Happiness and good health are an out-come of a relaxed state of mind. Ayurvedic classics have given special emphasis on three important as-pects Ahara, Nidra and Brahmacharya and health of every individual depends on it1. These three aspects are called as Trayopasthamba or three sub pillars of life. Just as the pillars support a dwelling similarly the Trayopasthamba support our body. Sleep and wellbeing go hand in hand and getting a good night sleep is important for overall health. The available literatures in Ayurveda have survived against the adversity of time, and there is a need of more evidence-based research for its global acceptance. A major hurdle faced by young researchers in the research process, is the lack of adequate tools, to assess the unique and basic concepts of Ayurveda, So the need of the hour is development of valid and reliable tools.
