This phase is critical because it is often accompanied by improper feeding in children, which may lead to wasting and other nutrition problems. Fortified biscuits have been provided for wasting children as a nationwide programme. However, the obedience of children to consume food supplementation remains questionable. Subjects and Method: This was a cross-sectional study conducted at 28 districts in 11 Provinces in Indonesia, during 2017. A sample of 586 children under five was selected for this study. The dependent variable was anthropometric index. The independent variable was additional feeding biscuits. Anthropometric index was categorized by underweight, wasted, and stunted. The data was collected by questionnaire and reported in percents. Results : A third proportion of sample had underweight-wasted-stunted (34.1%), followed by underweight-stunted (27.8%), underweight-wasted (20.3%), wasted (6%), stunted (4.8%), and only 7% with normal anthropometric index. As many as 74.6% of children under five received additional feeding biscuit regularly every month for 3 months. However, only 21.5% of them who consumed it appropriately. Conclusion : The highest anthropometric index in children under five is under-weightwasted-stunted. Consumption of additional feeding biscuits appropriately is still low.","PeriodicalId":399689,"journal":{"name":"Developing a Global Pandemic Exit Strategy and Framework for Global Health Security","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129926108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Lavender ( Lavandula angustifolia ) is most commonly used in aromatherapy. The fragrance from the oils of the lavender plant is believed to help promote calmness and wellnes. It is also said to help reduce stress, anxiety, and possibly even mild pain. This study aimed to determine the effect of breathing relaxation in combination with lavender aromatherapy on the reduction of insomnia in the elderly. Subjects and Method : This was a quasi experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. A sample of 21 elderly people who experienced insomnia were selected for this study from the Elderly Posyandu, Tambakrejo Waru Village, Sidoarjo, East Java. The independent variable was combination of breathing relaxation and lavender aromatherapy. The breathing relaxation involved slow and deep breathing technique using the diaphragm muscle, allowing the stomach to slowly lift and the chest to expand fully and while inhaling lavender aromatherapy. Lavender aromatherapy was administered while the elderly were in a state of relaxation to help focus on calmness and reduction of stress. This exercise was undertaken for about 20 minutes before going to bed, 6 days for a week long. The dependent variable was insomnia, which was measured by the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI). The ISI is a short subjective instrument measuring symptoms and consequences of insomnia. It is composed of seven items with perceived severity of each item was rated on a 0-4 scale. The total score ranging from 0-28 was obtained by summing the items ratings. The mean score of ISI before and after the intervention was compared with by paired t-test. Results : The mean score of ISI after the intervention (Mean= 14.8; SD= 2.3) was lower than that before intervention (Mean= 21.7; SD= 3.5), and it was statistically significant (p = 0.027). Conclusion : Breathing relaxation in combination with lavender aromatherapy is effective in reducing insomnia in the elderly.","PeriodicalId":399689,"journal":{"name":"Developing a Global Pandemic Exit Strategy and Framework for Global Health Security","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-11-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130493290","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Making the Giziku Baik app for teenagers is intended to increase nutrition knowledge in teenagers with an attractive appearance. Of course, the goal to be achieved is to increase nutritional literacy to improve nutritional status now and in the future. This study aims to determine the acceptance and barriers to using nutrition applications by both teenager and teachers as users. Subjects and Method: This study was a qualitative study conducted in SMA Laboratorium UPGRIS in September 2021. The data were obtained from primary data in Focus Group Discussion with 11 subjects. They are students, head of school, and teacher. We also use observations and secondary data in the form of UAT (user acceptance testing). The qualitative data were collected by focus group discussion guide and were analyzed using source. The UAT component were shown by descriptive analysis. Results: All subjects can accept Giziku Baik app and is installed on their respective smartphones, except those based on IOS. The FGD showed the need for improvements in the appearance of the features so that teenagers are more interested in using them. In addition, the educational feature needs to be shortened so that the nutritional messages to be conveyed are more focused, and there are notifications such as alarms as reminders so that teenagers (users) can input data every month on the same date. The school said that the Giziku Baik app could support the school's UKS program, which was being initiated, considering that the school had only been established for about five years. The results of the Good Nutrition UAT app show that the subject agrees on usefulness (70%), ease of use (80%), content (50%), accuracy (50%), format (50%), ease (60%), timeliness (70%). Conclusion: The Giziku Baik app can be used by users and synergizes with the school UKS program to support the improvement of adolescent nutrition.
