In addition to storing scientific work produced by students, the repository also serves to improve the ranking of Webometrics in order to realize World Class University. Therefore the policy of repository development must be done properly by considering the aspect of its users. This study aims to explain the students’ perceptions of independent upload system and ETD access repository in UGM library. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach with data retrieval technique using interview and completed with document. Data analysis is done by data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The results show that self-propagation policies and ETD access repository are considered to be very precise according to the perception of users, since the need for electronic information is increasing. The policy must be done to create open access in order to realize the excellent service in the library. Independent upload systems and ETD access repositories can improve their evectivity and efficiency as students can upload and access their final assignments from anywhere and anytime. It also provides security and convenience for students because the files that have been uploaded are stored in the system and can be downloaded or requested to the library whenever needed.Repositori di Perguruan Tinggi memiliki peran yang sangat penting. Selain untuk menyimpan karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh mahasiswa, repositori juga berfungsi untuk meningkatkan peringkat Webometrics dalam rangka mewujudkan World Class University. Oleh karena itu kebijakan pengembangan repositori harus dilakukan secara tepat dengan mempertimbangkan aspek penggunanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap sistem unggah mandiri dan akses ETD repositori di perpustakaan UGM. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara dan dilengkapi dengan dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menjukkan bahwa kebijakan unggah mandiri dan akses ETD repositori dinilai sangat tepat menurut persepsi pemustaka, mengingat kebutuhan terhadap informasi elektronik saat ini semakin meningkat. Kebijakan tersebut wajib dilakukan untuk menciptakan open acces dalam rangka mewujudkan pelayanan prima di perpustakaan. Sistem unggah mandiri dan akses ETD repositori dapat meningkatkan evektifitas dan efisiensi karena mahasiswa dapat men-unggah dan mengakses tugas akhir mereka dari mana saja dan kapan saja. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan universitas merupakan tempat yang menjadi pilihan untuk belajar dan menghabiskan waktu selama tidak ada perkuliahan di kampus. Kegiatan pemustaka di perpustakaan sering digunakan untuk hal-hal tertentu, termasuk studi individu, membaca, penggunaan komputer, mencari informasi, belajar kelompok, menggunakan layanan referensi dan informasi, dan pertemuan juga diskusi kelompok dan bersosialisasi. Korelasi antara penggunaan perpustakaan dan masing-masing kegiatan pemustaka diamati. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pemustaka menganggap perpustakaan universitas, sebagai tempat untuk belajar dan mencari informasi. Studi ini menunjukkan bagaimana pemustaka memandang dan menggunakan perpustakaan universitas dapat memperkuat, memberikan wawasan ke dalam proses pembelajaran, menumbuhkan enterpreneurship, dan memajukan peran pemustaka dalam komunitas akademis.This study explores the perception of users in utilizing the college library in this university and the correlation between the perception of the user and the utilization of the library. The findings show that university libraries are the preferred place to study and spend as long as there are no lectures on campus. Library activity is often used for certain things, including individual studies, reading, computer use, information seeking, group learning, reference, and information services, and group meetings and group discussions and socializing. The correlation between the use of libraries and each observation activity is observed. The findings show that the librarian considers the university library, as a place to learn and seek information. This 20-minute film tells of a teenage girl who gets happiness in the library and gets a lesson about the power of love. The background of all scenes in this film are in a public library in Britain and Emily’s school. This research is using semiotic method with syntagmatic-paradigmatic relation analysis by Roland Barthes. The unit of analysis is the storyline, characters, sentences or statements in each scene in the film. The result of syntagmatic analysis shows that representation of recreation function has worked well as seen from how Emily voluntarily visited library every day to read collections which made her feel love. Paradigmatic analysis shows that the background of the library is the main element that influences the feelings of the characters, such as happiness and pleasure. The conclusion is that this film contains representation of recreation function described with expressions and gestures of Emily and other characters in this film which shows that she was happy after reading the collections in this library and felt new experience that brought her happiness and how Ruth and John found their love. Inaddition, this film conveys education that anyone has the same rights when they visit public library. Namun sejalan dengan pengaruh globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi,semakin terindikasi adanya ancaman terhadap lunturnya kearifan lokal dikalangan generasi penerus. Oleh karena itu,dibutuhkan manifestasi baru agar perpustakaan nasional menjadi hal yang menarik untuk diakses dan ditelusuri oleh generasi muda penerus bangsa, agar identitas nasional tetap dapat dipertahankan. Namun ada beberapa jurnal yang kurang berkualitas. Untuk mengukur kualitas suatu publikasi ilmiah jurnal dapat dilakukan dengan menghitung produktivitas jurnal tersebut, perihitungan tersebut menggunakan kaidah Bradford. Artikel ini memberikan ulasan tentang produktivitas jurnal Yuridika Fakultas hukum Universitas Airlangga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan perhitungan menggunakan kaidah Bradford. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa pola distribusi jurnal Yurdika dalam kurun waktu tiga tahun yaitu 2015-2017 dengan total artikel sebanyak 254 dan terdapat 131 nama jurnal sesuai dengan pola distribusi bradford 1 : n : n 2 . Pembagian pola distribusi tersebut yaitu sebanyak 4 jurnal mencakup 92 artikel, sebanyak 22 jurnal mencakup 57 artikel, dan sebanyak 105 jurnal mencakup 105 artikel.
