However, this work remains largely unrecognized by international stakeholders in development. To bridge this gap, this research examines the current perceptions of libraries among development organizations and asks how libraries may gain visibility as partners. Interviews with development practitioners indicate that perceptions of libraries remain low and limited but allow for possible roles for libraries as community-embedded institutions and development resource hubs. The method used is the Delphi 2-round questionnaire. The results show that the experts most value an all-in-one system that incorporates all modules within it, instead of different collaborating software. Interoperability between systems, the adoption of new metadata standards, the SaaS architecture and the multi-tenant model are also held in high regard. Bhatti","doi":"10.1080/10572317.2020.1830739","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1080/10572317.2020.1830739","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract This study is an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of collection development and management policies and procedures in the university libraries of North West Frontier Province of Pakistan currently Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), on the basis of users’ satisfaction. A survey method was employed to conduct the research. The study covered all those well-established public and private sector universities of the province which were chartered by the Government of KPK, and recognized by HEC till December 31st, 2012 (Public= 17 and Private = 9, Total 26 universities). The population of the study were the teaching faculty of both public and private sector universities who were purposively selected at the rate of 10 teachers per university, having a minimum of three years library usage experience, knowledge of ICT applications and participation in library activities. A semi structured questionnaire was used to collect data from the target population. Out of 260 people in the sample, 200(77%) filled in questionnaires were received.
