A solution of information hiding of protected part of an image within the image itself is also presented. Three approaches are proposed - digital watermarking, DCT coefficients flipping and cryptography. The main focus of this paper is oriented to information hiding based on DCT coefficients flipping. In this case the information content protection is based on pixelisation and mosaic approach. Some experimental results are shown and advantages and drawbacks are also discussed.","PeriodicalId":398720,"journal":{"name":"20th International Conference Radioelektronika 2010","volume":"218 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114391360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The radar signal processing procedure providing the target position estimation consists of such phases of signal processing as raw radar data pre-processing, background subtraction, detection, time of arrival estimation, localization and tracking. In this paper, we will focus on the localization phase where we assume that for the target localization UWB radar equipped by one transmitting and N receiving antennas is used. Following this intention, the accuracy of the target localization provided by the least-squares method, the spherical-interpolation method and the Taylor series method applied within localization phase will be compared based on processing of radar signals obtained from real target tracking by UWB radar. The acquired results confirm that the Taylor series method can provide the best accuracy of the target positioning.","PeriodicalId":398720,"journal":{"name":"20th International Conference Radioelektronika 2010","volume":"1999 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128258578","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The capacity of UMTS is interference limited. Radio resources management (RRM) functions are therefore used. They are responsible for supplying optimum coverage, ensuring efficient use of physical resources, and providing the maximum planned capacity. This paper deals with admission control techniques for UMTS system. A UMTS system model and several versions of admission control algorithms are presented in this paper. These algorithms are based on fuzzy logic and they use simple user movement prediction methods. The algorithms are mutually compared via simulations.","PeriodicalId":398720,"journal":{"name":"20th International Conference Radioelektronika 2010","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134493603","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the paper, the CTO frequency response obtained by the method of harmonic balance is compared with the CTO response, obtained by applying the well-known State-Space-Averaging (SSA) technique to switched converters. These comparisons are made for the Buck-, Boost-, and Buck-Boost- type converters. Conclusions about the accuracy of the SSA method are drawn within the context of the character of the state matrices of the converter.","PeriodicalId":398720,"journal":{"name":"20th International Conference Radioelektronika 2010","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-04-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132571862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Essential feature of cognitive radio devices is scanning of certain frequency band and consequent decision making whether this band is used by primary user or not. In this paper several methods for detecting signals of analog and digital TV broadcasts are described and simulation results are presented with the use of real sampled signal from DVB receiver.
