Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural resources, but Indonesia lacks character than its human resources. Corruption is also one of the obstacles why Indonesia is not currently a developed country. This is because state assets that should be used in the interests of the state, however, by irresponsible people are used for their own interests. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent corruption so that Indonesia can develop into a developed country. The purpose of writing this article is to: (1) know the typology of corruption; (2) knowing the bad effects of corruption in Indonesia; (3) knowing the criminal penalty against the perpetrator of corruption; (4) knowing how to prevent corruption in Indonesia. The writing method used is descriptive qualitative with the data source used by the author, namely library research, which is data obtained from existing literature from books, journals, the internet and other references that are in accordance with the research problem. In preventing corruption itself, of course there needs to be cooperation between the government and the Indonesian people. As the government apparatus who manages the state, it is necessary to manage state assets as well as possible for the interests of the state and society, while the people must believe in and support the work of government. The perpetrators are no longer high-ranking officials in the elite, but have penetrated every level of society. This form of corruption is no longer just the theft of an extraordinary amount of money, but corruption is anything that is rotten and detrimental. Corruption has a massive impact on the sustainability of the country, including having an impact on the economy. If corruption continues, the motivation for economic growth will decrease or disappear from society and lead to widespread poverty. The construction of government facilities will also be slow and not optimal, the costs incurred are greater than the amount of money owned by the community so that these facilities cannot be enjoyed by them. Those who do not enjoy these facilities then look for ways to feel it by justifying various means including criminal acts including corruption. To eradicate corruption and its various impacts, the most effective thing is to change the mindset of all Indonesians. All citizens must be provided with insight into corruption so that they can understand the dangers of corruption and can adopt an anti-corruption attitude. Whatever means have been used to prevent this from happening again. But unfortunately the deterrent effect that is felt does not really make the perpetrator repent. Once the perpetrator commits an act of corruption, then once he feels the punishment. Then he does it again or even new seeds of corruption perpetrators emerge. Recently the RKUHP being drafted by the DPR has drawn a lot of criticism. How could I not, instead of creating fear and a deterrent effect, this RKUHP actually eases the punishment for corruptors. The RKUHP, which is considered to be inconsistent with the existing laws, has caused confusion among law enforcers. Weakening the side of punishments suchas fines and prison terms for corruptors will lead to more rampant corruption cases. The purpose of writing this article is to analyze what kind of punishment we have applied and assess whether the punishment is appropriate to be applied or there are still many shortcomings. Then in compiling this article the writing method used is descriptive qualitative with the data source used by the author, namely the research library, which is data obtained from existing literature from books, journals, the internet and other references that are in accordance with the research problem. Eradicating corruption from above through the KPK without any reinforcement by including provisions from the United Nation Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), such as an eagle preying on rats in a bottle of bars. Corruption is one of the causes for the inadequate use of state revenues, which can be in the form of taxes, PNBP, customs etc. So that indirectly it can affect the development process in Indonesia, where the source of funds for the construction of public facilities, health and education comes from Indonesia's state revenue. This study uses an approach based on quantitative analysis methods with survey results based on data on the daily life of Indonesians in various circles of society carried out by various survey bodies or institutions in various countries that remain focused on the use of technology in Indonesia so that contrasting ideas can arise. which can shed some light on those who care about this country to fight for their rights which are taken away by the corruptors and other rats of the country. The use of technology can not only be used to prevent acts of corruption but can also be done in eradicating it, this is possible because the development of this information technology has reached a government system where everything someone does must have digital traces left such as corruption. Secara harfiah kata korupsi berasal dari bahasa latin corruptio atau corruptus. Selanjutnya disebutkan bahwacorruptio itu berasal pula dari kataasal corrumpere, suatu kata latin yang lebih tua. Dari bahasa latin itulah turun kebanyak bahasa eropa seperti Inggris: Perancis:Corruption dan Belanda: Corruptie. Dapat kita beranikan diri bahwa daribahasa Belanda inilah kata itu turun ke bahasa Indonesia: ”korupsi” 1.Kemudian arti kata korupsi telah diterima dalam perbendaharaan kata bahasa Indonesia itu, disimpulkan oleh Poerwadarminta dalam Kamus Umum Bahasa Indonesia:“Korupsi ialah perbuatan yang buruk seperti penggelapan uang, penerimaan uang sogok dan sebagainya” 2. Dan yang terpenting,kemajuan suatu negara sangat ditentukan oleh kemampuan dan keberhasilannya dalam melaksanakan pembangunan. Pembangunan sebagai suatu proses perubahan yang direncanakan mencakup semua aspekkehidupan masyarakat. Efektifitas dan keberhasilan pembangunan terutama ditentukan oleh dua faktor, yaitu sumberdaya manusia, yakni (orang-orangyang terlibatsejak dari perencanaan sampai pada pelaksanaan) dan pembiayaan. Diantara dua faktor tersebut yang paling dominan adalah faktor manusianya.Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara terkaya di Asia dilihat dari keanekaragaman kekayaan sumber daya alamnya.
