These measurements are an integral part of a number of functional diagnostics techniques: electroencephalography, electrophthalmography, electromyography etc. In electropuncture diagnostics, based on a comparison of electrical conductivity at individual acupuncture points with the average for all measured points, the formulation and the nature of the operation on the body are selected. With various methods of electrical stimulation of organs, the effectiveness of the operation depends on the electrical conductivity of the skin. However, until now, there are no generally accepted points of view on the parameters of measuring circuits and the applicability of electrodes made of different materials in the measurement procedure. Since we were unable to find a systematic presentation on this issue in the available sources, we undertook a large study, the first report of which is presented in this article.","PeriodicalId":393602,"journal":{"name":"2021 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing and its Applications (DSPA)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127282163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The use of compression of the dynamic range of this data with loss of information and compression of data without loss of information will significantly reduce the amount of information storage, or increase the storage period of information before it is rewritten with a fixed volume of the storage device, and will also allow using lower-speed communication channels to transfer processed information to storage devices or post-processing. When using the dynamic range compression algorithm, a digital filter bank plays an important role, which allows you to divide the spectrum of a wideband signal into subchannels with a corresponding decrease in the rate of each subchannel. The article discusses the effect of bit width truncation on error-rate performance of processed records, and also includes the results of computer simulation.","PeriodicalId":393602,"journal":{"name":"2021 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing and its Applications (DSPA)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127471664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the work is to analyze the characteristics of new improved optimal decoders of this type which preserve decoding complexity close to the amount of computation in convolutional classical version of this algorithm. The characteristics of a new block decoder both in Gaussian channel and in standard binary symmetric channel are given. The ways of concatenation haven’t been used before are described, the directions for wider research of block Viterbi algorithm and its new implementation versions allowing to increase the length of coding block and expand the possibilities to adapt Viterbi algorithm to various operating conditions are offered. One more problem to be solved by the article presented is to attract the attention of specialists to an increasingly wider sphere of research where the technologies and paradigms of Optimization Theory find much higher application in comparison with the earlier “classical” coding theory applied.","PeriodicalId":393602,"journal":{"name":"2021 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing and its Applications (DSPA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128896884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High efficiency is achieved in a situation when the components of one of the vectors are constants. An algorithm for working with accelerometric data is described, which makes it possible to reduce the measured data arrays to a single dimension, as well as generate data for training a neural network for the selection and classification of movements. The choice of the optimal parameters of the neural network for the classification of movements was substantiated, which was based on a comparative assessment of the values of the percentage of errors in the classification of movements and the parameter of cross entropy. For training and testing of the neural network, the data of the results of experimental studies of the parameters of movements during the performance of squat and jump exercises were used by 20 subjects (10 women and 10 men at the age of 18 ±3.4 years). The average value of the probability of correct classification of movements based on the data for each of the subjects was 0.94, which allows concluding that there are prospects for using the developed algorithm in biotechnical systems and dynamic biometric systems.","PeriodicalId":393602,"journal":{"name":"2021 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing and its Applications (DSPA)","volume":"193 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124354632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Both approaches are based on the same idea as generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) but have reduced computational cost that scales linearly in both packet length and signal constellation size. The first method, sequential GLRT, is based on demodulation of QAM symbols sequentially using GLRT decision rule and treating previously demodulated symbols as known data. The second method, partial GLRT, uses partial search over a portion of packet while remaining data symbols are demodulated with hard decisions, and Euclidean distance between these decisions and received signal samples is used as a decision metric to improve detection reliability. Computer simulation results showed that partial GLRT provides bit error rate (BER) very close to achievable limit even for very short QAM packets where the number of data symbols is equal to the QAM constellation size. The loss at high signal-to-noise ratio is about 0.3 dB for 16-QAM and about 0.085 dB for 64-QAM. For sequential GLRT, BER performance is worse, but this method has lower computational cost and can be useful for choosing a suitable trade-off between BER performance and complexity.","PeriodicalId":393602,"journal":{"name":"2021 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing and its Applications (DSPA)","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122597285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An expression is obtained for a signal distorted by a deterministic multiplicative noise, in which the noise component is a separate term. It is shown that for an ensemble of realizations of a signal distorted by a stationary fluctuation multiplicative noise, the mathematical expectation of this signal can be considered as its undistorted part; there is also an noise component in the ensemble. The relative level of the undistorted part of the signal is determined by the joint distribution function of the changes in the amplitude and phase at coinciding time instants. It is shown that the fluctuation of the function of the interfering component is a complex envelope of the interfering component of the harmonic signal. Expressions are obtained for the correlation function of the interfering one leaving for a constant and random value of the initial phase of the signal. It is shown that the averaged correlation function of the noise component of the signal distorted by multiplicative noise can be expressed in terms of the autocorrelation function of the signal and the correlation function of noise modulation fluctuations. It is also shown that the energy spectrum of the interfering component is wider than the energy spectrum of the undistorted signal. The main characteristics of the considered ensemble of signal realizations are the relative level of the undistorted part of the signal and the correlation function or energy spectrum of the interfering component, which characterize fluctuations of the distorted signal.","PeriodicalId":393602,"journal":{"name":"2021 23rd International Conference on Digital Signal Processing and its Applications (DSPA)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-03-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115602482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
