Abstract

The article is devoted to the metrological aspects of measuring the electrical conductivity of human skin. These measurements are an integral part of a number of functional diagnostics techniques: electroencephalography, electrophthalmography, electromyography etc. In electropuncture diagnostics, based on a comparison of electrical conductivity at individual acupuncture points with the average for all measured points, the formulation and the nature of the operation on the body are selected. With various methods of electrical stimulation of organs, the effectiveness of the operation depends on the electrical conductivity of the skin. However, until now, there are no generally accepted points of view on the parameters of measuring circuits and the applicability of electrodes made of different materials in the measurement procedure. Since we were unable to find a systematic presentation on this issue in the available sources, we undertook a large study, the first report of which is presented in this article.
