Then the Pade approximation (PA) method is used to approximately calculate these analytical expressions, which avoids complicated integral computation and conveniently finishes evaluating the detection performance. This paper described a novel single-fed ring antenna (SFRA) consists of stacked structure of an annular ring patch, which is designed for left-hand circular polarized (LHCP) at a center frequency of 2.1GHz. The impedance and 3-dB AR bandwidths are large as compared to the conventional CP microstrip antenna. It is assumed that IS acts like an impedance transformer between the feedline and the main segment. The method avoids former time-consuming trial and error for achievement of optimum dielectric constant and thickness of IS, and directly gives these parameters in which best possible bandwidth and feedline-MSDRA coupling is attained. To show the efficiency of the proposed method, many examples are examined and numerical and experimental results are presented.","PeriodicalId":393410,"journal":{"name":"ICMMT 4th International Conference on, Proceedings Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2004.","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2004-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116952159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The photonic band gap properties of one-dimensional layered periodical structures that include of double negative material, so-called backward-wave (BW) material are investigated. The relation between photonic bandgap and chirality admittance has been analyzed. The simulation results show that the width of the PBG in the structure composed of chiral medium and BW medium is larger than that composed of chiral medium and usual medium. Our analysis has shown that the usage of the negative material makes it possible to dramatically widen the band gap of one-dimensional photonic crystal.","PeriodicalId":393410,"journal":{"name":"ICMMT 4th International Conference on, Proceedings Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2004.","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2004-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116257973","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Taking into account the effect of the plasma and the dielectric, the system is separated along radial into three regions. By means of sheath model and the Maxwell's equation, the distribution of the electromagnetic field is established. Using the boundary conditions of each region, the dispersion relation of the slow wave structure is derived. The trend of change for the radial profile of the axial electric field is analyzed respectively in different plasma densities and plasma column radius by numerical computation. To realize it, developing mass production suitable diplexer with very sharp skirt on both low-pass and high-pass sides is the key point microstrip diplexer is chosen to meet this challenge. Elliptic LPF by quasi-lumped components and CQ BPF by open-loop resonators are designed to get a cutoff edge with enough selectivity separately. Then diplexer is obtained by connecting the BPF to the LPF by coupled feedline with a suitable length, inside which both of BPF and LPF maintain their performances without any appreciable decrease. Both of the extension amplifier and the extension system by this diplexer are tested. Experiment results show that the developed extension amplifier is able to make use of the frequency band between 865MHz and 1155MHz to transmit 16QAM and 64QAM at 5 Msymbol/sec in high waveform quality without any noticeable effect on the conventional upstream and downstream.","PeriodicalId":393410,"journal":{"name":"ICMMT 4th International Conference on, Proceedings Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2004.","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2004-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130014013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
