Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression in pediatric sarcomas is explored in the current study. A key feature of EGFRs is their general involvement in signal transduction and oncogenesis, making them one of the most studied receptor protein-tyrosine kinase families. The study included 104 archived formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded blocks assessed using immunohistochemical stains for EGFR expression in rhabdomyosarcoma, osteosarcoma, and Ewing's sarcoma. EGFR gene copy number was analyzed by dual silver in situ hybridization (DISH). EGFR was positively expressed in 56.7% of pediatric sarcoma. Immunostaining for EGFR was significantly associated with deep large tumors, stage, and histologic grade. Significantly, lower chances of overall survival were observed with elevated levels of EGFR five years post-diagnosis. EGFR staining identified independent risk factors for poor patient outcomes. The results of in situ hybridization did not indicate EGFR gene amplification in any of the cases assessed. EGFR overexpression was an independent predictor of pediatric sarcoma outcome, which is highly associated with histologic grade and stage. Results indicate EGFR inhibitors should be potentiated and directed against pediatric sarcoma. The Hadith collection comprises thousands of text pieces transferred over the years by many narrators with varying degrees of credibility. Hadith scholars are faced with the challenge of assessing the degree of a specific Hadith’s authenticity to classify the Hadith as Sahih (fully authentic and accepted) or Daif (rejected). Automatic Hadith classification has been addressed in the literature; however, the results vary and are not directly comparable, as no dataset has been made available for benchmarking. In addition, no previous work has utilised deep-learning (DL) approaches for Hadith classification. This work contributes by 1) collecting and publicly releasing a benchmark Hadith dataset of almost 4,000 Hadith texts to facilitate future research, 2) exploring DL model performance on binary Hadith classification tasks, and 3) benchmarking traditional machine learning against DL models. Our best results were recorded with an ARBERT DL model that provided an accuracy score of 91.56%. In this paper, an executable program has been constructed to simulate and analyze the generation of ultra-short free electron laser pulses; it contains several parameters directing the creation of short pulses within a time duration of femtoseconds (fs). On analyzing the simulation results, it can be concluded that it is possible to generate ultra-short pulses with a duration of about 7.4 – 87.4 fs with the storage ring free-electron laser Fabry–Perot resonator with noticeably short wavelengths (11.4–190.2) for the output laser beam. This article provides information on four species of sea crab (one of which is alien), two species of sea star, one species of sea urchin and two species of octopus, which have all been documented for the first time in Syrian waters. Samples were collected by fishing nets from a coastal area at medium depths (20–630 meters) from Ras al-Basit, Lattakia and Banias during 2020 and 2021. These species are: Actaea savignii (H. Milne Edwards, 1834); Dromia personata (Linnaeus, 1758);Geryon longipes (A. Milne-Edwards, 1882); Homola barbata (Fabricius, 1793); Peltaster placenta (Müller and Troschel, 1842); Chaetaster longipes (Bruzelius, 1805); Sphaerechinus granularis (Lamarck, 1816); Tremoctopus violaceus (Delle Chiaje, 1830);Ocythoe tuberculate (Rafinesque, 1814). Documenting the presence of these rare species is very important from an environmental and scientific perspective, and recording more of them requires coordination with the marine fishing sector in Syria. One of the challenges related to underpricing is trading the stock on the first day of the market. This study investigates the relationship between REIT characteristics and share underpricing for a sample of REITs that are listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange “Tadawul.” The purpose of the study is to focus on one of the challenges that is related to the IPOs of REITs. Using a sample of 17 IPOs of REITs listed on the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange “Tadawul” for the period between 2016 and 2020, we show significant negative associations between the number of IPO underwriters, number of shares subscribed, and the firms’ dividend payouts and REITs’ underpricing. The result also shows a significant positive association between the number of subscription days and REITs’ underpricing. The research should provide significant implications for regulators and market participants in the light of the public offering and the REIT sector. Pragmatics study language usage by examining meaning as understood in the speaker’s mind and receiver’s interpretation and focusing on what people mean by their words. In addition, this study investigates the use of requests by identifying their strategies and supportive moves. This is achieved by examining speech acts in the communications of a specific educational institution: King Faisal University. The data obtained are analysed pragmatically in accordance with, in particular, politeness theory and the concept of face. This provides us with a clear vision of the use of requests in a specific social and cultural environment and enables us to identify the strategies and supportive moves (internal and external) that speakers employ to successfully perform their speech acts. The results show the prevalence of direct strategy usage with their four models, avoidance of directness (particularly through the use of hints), interest in using external supportive moves in requests and a lack of internal supportive moves to support and mitigate requests. In general, the data shows structural similarity, which indicates the existence of a specific perception for communications in the institution.","PeriodicalId":39024,"journal":{"name":"Scientific Journal of King Faisal University","volume":"04 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86091458","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Climate change is defined as the change that affects the components of the environment surrounding humans, such as air, water, and soil. Accordingly, it harmfully impacts some of the most basic determinants of health, including clean air, clean water, clean food, adequate shelter, and protection from disease. The study problem emerges from the discussion on the impact of climate change on human rights in international law and the Saudi system. This study sought to demonstrate and discuss the impact of climate change on human rights and showed that climate change influences all aspects of life that directly and indirectly affect human rights, for instance, air and water pollution. Undoubtedly, climate change harms human health and life and even damages plants irrigated by polluted water. Consequently, green Saudi Arabia achieving the goals of Vision 2030 of protecting human rights from climate change that comes on green spaces from any aspect of the environment, like water, air, or soil. It includes two main sections. The first section identifies the repercussions of COVID-19 on some global and local economic indicators – especially the recession that most of the world’s economies are experiencing in light of the continuing COVID-19 outbreaks. The Egyptian economy achieved a general growth rate in 2020, at a time when the entire world was experiencing economic stagnation; this was due to the Egyptian government’s set of measures and a lack of direction towards a complete closure. The second part examines demand determinants for Egyptian imports of meat, dairy, oils, cereals, sugar and wheat using ARDL models according to the bounds testing approach to cointegration. This was accomplished by studying the extent to which dependent variables have a long-term equilibrium relationship, as well as the value of imports with lag periods, gross domestic products, relative prices, effective real exchange rates, liberalisation policies, COVID-19 effects on imports and forecasting demand for Egyptian imports. For this purpose, the research has proposed an extensive model to examine the critical factors that could influence students’ readiness for flipped learning, namely technology self-efficacy, course design, learning flexibility, learning management, online interaction and online environment. Moreover, the moderating role of motivation in affecting the relationship between flipped learning readiness and both learning flexibility and learning management has been examined. A quantitative method was adopted, and 240 valid respondents were obtained and utilised for the data analysis. Both structural and measurement models were assessed using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equations Model (PLS-SEM). The results confirmed that all examined factors significantly affected students’ readiness for flipped learning. The interaction–moderation analysis revealed that motivation significantly affected the relationship between the students’ readiness for flipped learning and factors related to learning, namely learning flexibility and learning management. The contribution of this research is considerable in terms of its theoretical and practical implications. Following the addressed limitations, several recommendations and suggestions are made for the future direction of research. He depicted a lively and vibrant social image of the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula. He wrote about their religious, intellectual, moral, political and social aspects. He relied on his travelling throughout the Peninsula to discuss this society, its characteristics, its positives and its negatives. The study investigates the stereotyped image of these Arabs in line with Orientalist experiments specifically in the 19th century. It adopts historical and comparative approaches within his writings away from exaggeration in interpretation. It reveals the dominance of Eurocentrism as a conceptual framework that has had an impact on most of his writings, just like other orientalists in the 19th century.
