The systematic search for information was conducted in seven databases, restricted to studies published during the period from January 2018 to December 2019. Thirteen studies were included, which gathered information from 10,135 children and adolescents from seven Brazilian states. Different tests/protocols for assessing MS were identified, however, handgrip strength was the test most adopted in studies (53.8%). The prevalence of children and adolescents with MS levels considered healthy was 29.8%, considering the totality of information, and 27.6% for males and 31.8% for females. Considering full data reviewed by the Report Card Brazil project (data analyzed in this study in addition to those previously published), information regarding the assessment of MS levels in children and adolescents in Brazil came from studies conducted during the period from 2010 to 2019, which included a sample of 15,208 children and adolescents (aged 7-19 years). According to this information, the prevalence of children and adolescents with MS levels considered healthy in this period was 57.8%, 61.1% for males and 58.8% for females.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"223 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85933713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All studies were extracted from the LILACS; BIREME; SCIELO and MEDLINE. The search was carried out on manuscripts published in the period 2018-2019. The descriptors were used in Portuguese, English and Spanish. In overall, 8 manuscripts were included in this systematic review, with 1 presenting data from three periods (2009, 2012 and 2015). The study data were obtained between 2009 and 2015 and the age group found between 7 to 19 years old. Of the selected articles, 2 presented national data, 1 from the north, 2 from the northeast, 1 from the southeast and 2 from the south of Brazil. The use of active transportation was superior to passive transportation on 6 occasions and its use was common in boys than in girls (4 of 6 articles). The use of active transportation is still more common than passive transportation in most Brazilian regions, although some cities have the opposite. The results suggest that the prevalence of active transportation is higher in boys than girls. Public policies must be created to favor the use of active transportation among Brazilian youth.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"4 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81205175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This systematic review included an electronic search of eight databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, LILACS, SPORTDiscus, BIREME, Scielo, and Google Scholar) and a manual search of the references of retrieved studies. Studies published in 2018 and 2019 that assessed global PA among Brazilian youth were included. A narrative approach to the results was adopted. The initial search retrieved 1,892 potentially relevant titles (1,244 titles after duplicate analysis), of which 62 (47 different studies) met all the inclusion criteria. Most updated studies were carried out in Southern (40.4%) and Southeastern (25.5%) Brazil. Six studies provided data from national surveys (12.8%), and one study included preschool children (< 5 years old). Ten studies objectively measured PA (accelerometer or pedometer devices). In the updated studies, the overall proportion of young people who were physically active ranged from 9.8% to 79.6%. Three national surveys reported the prevalence of physically active students, ranging from 18.4% to 78.8%. There was an increase of surveys that objectively measured PA and with children under 12 years of age in the 2018 and 2019 studies. However, important research gaps (e.g., variations in the measurement of global PA), even in the same study, should be considered to improve the monitoring and evaluation of global PA in Brazil.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"56 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75957009","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A systematic review was conducted on eight databases. The criteria for inclusion were original research, samples including Brazilian children and adolescents (age 0–18), studies that reported variables regarding sleep duration using both objective or subjective measures, school- or population-based surveys with random sampling, and cross-sectional or cohort studies. Of the 54 articles included, only 27 used data from different studies. Most of the studies were conducted in the southern region (n = 17) with only two studies having a nationally representative sample. Two studies included children below age five, and the age group most investigated was adolescents (>10 years old). A majority of the studies used a self-reported questionnaire and showed variability in the cutoff point applied for adequate sleep duration with the most reported being ≥8 hours. The proportion of adolescents who met recommendations or had adequate sleep duration ranged from 15% to 89%. Among children, the prevalence ranged from 17% to 95%. The least variability was observed among toddlers, ranging from 93% to 95%. No consistent gender differences were observed among the gender-stratified groups of children and adolescents across the studies. It can be observed that, because of the wide range of results and the lack of data with national representativeness, the prevalence of sufficient sleep among young people aged below 18 remains undefined in Brazil.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88597935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For search strategy, the main reference databases (PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, SPORTDiscus, Web of Science, ERIC) were used. Baseline searches resulted in 3,265 potentially relevant titles (2,775 titles after removal of duplicate studies); 21 studies met all inclusion criteria and were included for analysis. Studies were carried out from 2007 to 2019; 47.6% of them were conducted in Southern Brazil, and only one study had nationwide approach. Prevalence from 5.4% to 21% was identified for overweight, 3.5% to 16.9% for obesity and 11.8% to 40.1% for overweight + obesity. According to results, 64.3% of overweight, 69.8% of obese and 37.7% of young overweight people were considered insufficiently active. The non-standardization of instruments to assess levels of physical activity and the lack of information regarding other Brazilian regions were classified as important limitations. The results reinforce the increase in the prevalence of overweight in Brazilian children and adolescents, and the high prevalence of physical inactivity among them. For every ten overweight children/adolescents, six are reported to be insufficiently active.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85276038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This systematic review is part of the Report Card Brazil Project and the search was restricted to studies published during the period from January 2018 to December 2019 in nine electronic databases. Studies with different designs, which allowed extracting information about the prevalence of children and adolescents who met health criteria for aerobic fitness (age up to 19 years or average age up to 19 years) were included. Studies published from 2020 were not included due to the possible effect of the pandemic on this indicator and because there is no certainty as to when the pandemic will end. Of the 694 studies initially identified, 13 studies with information of 14,673 children and adolescents were included after reading titles, abstracts, full texts and references. The prevalence of children and adolescents who met health criteria for aerobic fitness was 26.9% (29.7% for girls; 44.6% for boys). In this search, eight different cutoff points were used to determine adequate aerobic fitness levels and five tests were used to determine aerobic fitness. However, the acute effects of a moderate walking on the distribution of plantar pressure in children with obesity are still incipient in the literature. Our aim was to verify the acute effects of six-minute walk test on plantar pressure in obese and eutrophic children. A pressure platform was used to record plantar pressure during walking for 62 children (37 girls), aged 7-10 years old, before and after the six-minute walk test. Children were divided into an obese group - OB (n = 20), and an eutrophic group - EU (n = 42). Peak plantar pressure (PPP), maximum force (MF), and contact area (CA) were assessed in three trials during walking at a comfortable speed. The analyses were performed in five plantar regions: rearfoot, midfoot, forefoot, hallux, and toes. For the PPP was higher under the midfoot region of the OB group after walking. In the comparison between groups, PPP, MF, and CA were higher for the OB group for most regions. We concluded that, after a moderate walking activity, children with obesity experience an increase in plantar loads, especially under the midfoot, which can bring greater discomfort and risk of injuries.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78819500","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dada a falta de vacinas e/ou medicamentos eficazes contra a COVID-19, a Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) recomendou medidas de prevenção e enfrentamento da doença. Essas recomendações foram posteriormente endossadas pela Sociedade Internacional para o Avanço da Cineantropometria/ International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK), com adaptações às rotinas antropométricas, que complementamos para aplicação abrangente nos diversos segmentos de atuação da antropometria. Este ponto de vista visa enfatizar e contribuir às considerações de segurança das rotinas antropométricas em um mundo pós-COVID-19. Entende-se aqui que o protocolo de biossegurança apresentado neste ponto de vista para retorno e continuidade das atividades antropométricas, no mundo inteiro, independentemente da formação/ capacitação/ atuação profissional, no que diz respeito à vida e às comunidades, também pode ter aplicação recorrente no combate a outros patógenos respiratórios semelhantes para se transformarem em pandemias no futuro. A total of 16 female futsal players (age: 22 ± 3 years; VO2max: 42.3 ± 2.0 ml.kg-1.min-1) were evaluated during the first week of preseason training. Vagal modulation was evaluated from the HRVrest (i.e., log-transformed root mean square of successive R-R interval differences - Ln-RMSSD) for two consecutive days, while endurance performance was evaluated by the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test, Level 1 (Yo-Yo IR1). Pearson correlation was used to analyze the relationship between the variables. Strong correlation between the HRVrest index and endurance performance (r = 0.643; p = 0.007). Reliability was tested through the intraclass correlation coefficient, coefficient of variation (CV), and Bland-Altman analysis of the agreement. Furthermore, acceptable repeatability of HRVrest, but with great inter-subject variability (ICC = 0.670, 95%CI = 0.056-0.885, CV = 15.8%). The current study demonstrated a strong correlation between Ln-RMSSD and endurance performance, and despite the acceptable values of intrasubject reliability, HRVrest presented high inter-individual variability in female futsal players.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"535 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77109184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We propose that such benefits occur because the small-sided games are holons of a hierarchically organized that maintain the same characteristics of game, regardless the reduced complexity. The hierarchical model of football considers the numerical relations of cooperation and opposition in specific spaces of play. It characterizes a nested hierarchy model because it deals with both the parts and the different processes of game. Such a hierarchical model contains five levels, in which the upper level is the football game and the elementary level a game situation, that is, a small-sided game. As any open system of hierarchical organization, the small-sided games present simultaneously invariant characteristics of whole and the specificities of the parts according the context and level of analysis. The adoption of such a hierarchical perspective allows setting goals as well as selecting the teaching-learning and training’s contents at different analysis levels by considering the autonomy-dependency in each one.","PeriodicalId":38989,"journal":{"name":"Revista Brasileira de Cineantropometria e Desempenho Humano","volume":"38 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75346844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
