China turned into an ageing society according to international standards. Over the past 20 years since China was an ageing society, its ageing policy has been formulated based on national conditions and international experiences. It has also been innovated, improved and achieved remarkable results. Lee, Bruce Man-Pan Chin","doi":"10.1080/17525098.2022.2042900","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1080/17525098.2022.2042900","url":null,"abstract":"ABSTRACT A total of 1,046 students from seven local secondary schools in Hong Kong were interviewed to examine the association between the time students devoted to volunteering and the number of service organisations students joined to fulfil personal and social responsibility and volunteer intentions. The results indicated differential effects of students’ volunteering hours and the number of organisations in which they participated on their responsibility and intention to serve. Students had a stronger sense of volunteer responsibility and volunteer intention if they devoted more time to volunteering and joined more volunteering organisations. Multivariate analysis showed that hours of ongoing volunteerism was positively and strongly correlated with the level of volunteering responsibility and intention to volunteer. The essay discusses the situation facing ethnic minorities in Hong Kong, especially the challenges of media representation and participation. It then discusses the origin of CIBS and examines the characteristics of ethnic minority programming through the service. This article presents a snapshot of the available services and further categorises them into individual, organisational, governmental and international levels. The contribution and limitations of these services are analysed, and the role of social workers in the provision and integration of these services is reflected through a conceptual model. I describe the processes of developing sophisticated skills in writing research as one of gradual shaping, initially beginning with smaller-scale contributions to journals and only attempting to undertake and write up more sophisticated research projects by building upon past successes. A variety of forms of scholarship are described, with examples of each type being cited. Approaches to successfully navigating the journal publication system are presented, and various resources are cited to learn more about English language social work and other disciplinary journals in the social and behavioural sciences.
