For this, an autonomous hydraulic irrigation system was developed that works employing a storage system and self-sustainable energy control, allowing irrigation decision-making in the areas where it is needed at all times. This irrigation system makes use of a service to measure environmental variables, such as ambient temperature, soil moisture and relative humidity using sensors, for decision making. The irrigation system was designed with solenoid valves as actuators, controlled through relays, and with 2 solar panels and a set of lithium batteries regulated by a battery management system for self-supply. A system like the one presented in this article becomes an alternative for small farmers, besides that, it has the main characteristic of having a high margin of scalability at a technological and economic level.","PeriodicalId":388062,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131103627","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diversity of orders and families of macroinvertebrates was quantified, giving a total of 9460 individuals, distributed in 9 orders and 44 families. According to the BMWP/Pan, points P1 and P2 presented good quality waters from January to March, except for P2 which registered regular quality in February. P3 presented a transition from good quality waters to polluted waters from January to March. According to the EPT, points P1 and P2 presented waters of good quality from January to March. However, P3 showed regular water quality in January and February, and poor quality in March. This study identified an abundant diversity of freshwater macroinvertebrates of the Insecta class; when comparing the BMWP/Pan and EPT indexes. When evaluated, the two indexes had similar results. It is necessary to highlight the BMWP / Pan and EPT indexes to determine the water quality, since they can be used as guideline for the conservation and remediation of the rivers of the Republic of Panama.","PeriodicalId":388062,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131105800","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The N-UNCD films are grown on a thin layer of hafnium dioxide (HfO2), to explore the integration of N-UNCD films with the main gate oxide in current CMOS devices. The HfO2 template layer was grown by atomic layer deposition (ALD) on top of a 300 nm layer of silicon dioxide (SiO2) on a silicon substrate. The N-UNCD films are grown using the hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD) technique. A mixture of Ar/CH4/H2/N2 gases pass through an array of filaments heated to ~2300 °C to crack the CH4 and N2 molecules into C, CHx (x=1,2,3) and N atoms. The radicals react at the surface to grow the N-UNCD. The N-UNCD film density, morphology, and presence of N atoms, which induce electrical conductivity (resistivity), appears to depend mainly on the N2 flow, thus density of N atoms arrival to the substrate surface in conjunction with the film growth temperature. In previous work it was fond that a carbide layer is form beneath the UNCD for both Si, tungsten (W) and Hf. However, when N is added to the gas flow it reduces the coverage of UNCD over the HfO2 layer but not over the SiO2 layer. Large N2 flows (10-20 standard cubic cm, sccm) result in N-UNCD films with globular non-connected structures, resulting in high resistivities (several MW-cm to open circuit). X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) analysis revealed the presence of both hafnium carbide (HfC) and hafnium nitride (HfxNy) on the surface of N-UNCD films grown on HfO2. The formation of HfxNy may compete with C for surface binding sites on the HfO2, inhibiting the formation of a HfC layer. There are several candidates of hafnium nitride (Hf3N2, Hf3N4. and HfN). Since the starting substrate material is hafnium(IV) oxide, and there is no oxygen flow during the N-UNCD film growth, the hypothesis is that, with large N2 flow (10-20 sccm), the formation of hafnium(IV) nitride is dominant. Hafnium(IV) nitride has an orthorhombic unit cell while hafnium (IV) carbide has a cubic unit cell structure, similar to diamond. Thus, the presence of Hf3N4 may inhibit diamond growth via a mismatch of unit cells at the interface. On the other hand, a low flow of N2 (6 sccm) combined with low flows of H and Ar, produced, good dense, very low resistivity N-UNCD films.","PeriodicalId":388062,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124374012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These techniques would be ideal in areas where the satellite coverage or radar resolution is poor and have a clear impact on the people and goods located at these airports. We propose a novel fingerprinting localization technique using the relative ray delays due to ray-tracing effects as fingerprints information instead of traditional power levels measurements. Combined with other advanced algorithms, more localization precision could be obtained with these techniques, resulting in improved airport operational security in critical zones near the terminal building, such as maneuvering area and stands.","PeriodicalId":388062,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123392164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective of this work was to evaluate the vegetation indexes calculated through the computational processing of images obtained by the Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 satellites, with the purpose of monitoring the state of health and phenological development of coffee crops in Central American territory during the years 2017 and 2018. The vegetation indexes NDVI and EVI and were obtained with the reflection data of satellite images, these images were acquired on average every three days during the productive cycles of 2017 and 2018. The estimates of the leaf area index and the phenological stage of the crops was carried out during these productive periods. The results of the VIs were validated by a comparison with data on productivity, water stress and phenological status of coffee at each stage of the production cycles from January 2017 to December 2018. The results show that the vegetation indexes reach high levels of precision in the estimation of productivity, nutritional evaluation, detection of pests and diseases, monitoring of local temperature and assessment of water needs in specific sites of the crop. It was found that the NDVI and EVI values accurately reflect the water stress, nutritional problems and diseases that affect the development of the crops in the experimental farms. The methodology was satisfactory for obtaining parameters of leaf area indexes in coffee plantations and has potential use as a tool for monitoring and evaluating the health conditions and phenological status of different crops quickly and accurately. This monitoring methodology can assist in the application of more adequate strategies for decision making in large-scale crop areas.","PeriodicalId":388062,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122031348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, currently, companies are aimed to deliver orders to their respective customers on time, in good condition and complete. This file focuses on the importance of warehouse management for mass consumption distributors, since it's the warehouses that determine the operation and productivity costs of these. Thus, some innovative techniques such as the lean warehouse and allocation tools improve working conditions with the aim of reducing downtime and distances. A pilot programme of implementation of the tools mentioned in the warehouse of a wholesale distributor was carried out. As a result of the research, the distance traveled in the warehouse was reduced by 22%, the reduction of times in the picking process, achieving the optimal delivery time and generating an increase in the sales made of 215,720.22 soles. These results prove to be decisive in the performance of the supply chain (inventory, cost, delay and risk), since the key to success for this industry is to satisfy the needs of customers in the shortest possible time.","PeriodicalId":388062,"journal":{"name":"2019 7th International Engineering, Sciences and Technology Conference (IESTEC)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124671954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
