The model schemes are rings of oscillators and nonlinear elements arranged in such way that signals undergo special transformation during full rotation along the rings. The models are governed by systems of ordinary differential equations. These equations were studied numerically. We discuss the results of numerical simulation that confirm our suggestion of robust hyperbolic chaos in proposed models.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122344671","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method makes it possible to restore the image of radar targets with angular resolution exceeding the Rayleigh criterion, i.e., with superresolution. The suggested method allows to represent the approximate solutions in the form of series of functions. The main difficulty in the realization of this method is the instability of solutions, which is a consequence of an ill-posed problem. The suggested method allows to approach to the maximum achievable degree of superresolution.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122894673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For CSI estimation pilots can be used, but in multi-user scenarios pilot contamination may occur which may compromise estimation, even when are used orthogonal sequences such as Chu sequences. In such conditions even a precoding does not cancel interference among users and the system performance can be compromised. It is shown that a decision directed scheme based on a iterative block frequency domain equalizer can be used to compensate the pilot contamination impact on channel estimation without sacrificing the complexity. Moreover, when the coherence time spans multiple data blocks, these most accurate channel estimates can be used to precod the subsequent blocks and thereby improve system performance. It is also presented a set of performance results that sustain our assumption.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125132446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, the authors summarize the parameters that are critical in designing optimal generators to retrieve the residual energy contained in an electromechanical system and transferred through the vibrations of an independent structure. The discussion exploits our previous results, which theoretically define the properties characterizing the models of individual basic configurations of a generator based on Faraday's law of induction.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122785198","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The representation and identification of the states are based on the spin configurations of the ferromagnetic Ising model without knowledge of the respective Hamiltonian. The state identification process is of high importance in quantum technology applications and testing such as D-wave machine comparison to classical optimization algorithms using large number of qubits. This paper proposes a new method to classify phases and phase transitions in condensed matter systems, which can further be used in quantum technologies to identify the state of qubits. The proposed method is based on the combination of Principle component analysis (PCA) and support vector machine (SVM). The simulation results of the proposed method show that the trained model is able to identify the phase and phase transition with high accuracy in different Ising spin topologies with a variety of lattice sizes, while reducing the dimensionality of the feature space compared to existing optimization methods.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122583979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By 2014 the number had increased to in excess of 12,000 flights per year, and further increases are expected. For safe operations, the aircraft have to be able to communicate with air traffic control centres at all times. This is achieved by VHF links whilst within range of the widespread network of ground stations, and by HF radio in remote areas such as the Polar regions, the North Atlantic and Pacific where VHF ground infrastructure does not exist. Furthermore, the Russian side of the pole only has HF capability. This has created a demand for improved HF nowcasting and forecasting procedures to support the polar operations, which are the subject of this paper.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116832529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other hand the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) segment experiencing continuously increasing global Internet traffic due to the emergence and renewal of the bandwidth-intensive services and applications. The higher capacity of transmission system can be achieved by enchasing the spectral efficiency level, which in its turn, in the Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) systems, is defined by frequency slots and data rates of transmission channels. However, on the grounds of cross-channel interference, decreasing of channel spacing adversely affects the transmission reach of signals, which leads to the higher power consumption due to increased number of signal regenerations. Therefore the following situation results into continuous assessment of tradeoffs between Power and Spectral efficiencies in the transmission systems. Following research aims to an examination of Single-Line-Rate (SLR) WDM systems based on 10 Gbps signals with nonreturn-to-zero on-off-keying (NRZ-OOK) modulation, which are commonly used at existing legacy networks. The focus of this study is transmission systems with the Forward Error Correction (FEC) and required Bit Error Rate (BER) level lower then 10−3. In order to observe relationship between system's capacity and power consumption, authors estimate the power efficiency at different spectral efficiency stages, by means of modifications in the frequency slot, to wit from 12.5 GHz to 37.5GHz. Calculations have been prepared for various signal transmission lengths. Additionally, the power ratio of 3R (reamplification, retiming, reshaping) is evaluated with the purpose to quantify the impact of signal regeneration procedure on the total power consumption of transmission system. The results are presented as functions of transmitted information amount, with the aim of providing flexible data for different system realizations.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129416097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A microstrip rectangular patch with slotted inset-line antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna operates at the frequency 9.37–9.43 GHz with VSWR below 1.3 and printed on Epoxy FR-4 substrate of dielectric constant of 4.6. The antenna array is also simulated on CST using uniform microstip array configuration consisting of 6×120 elements to yield the specification of horizontal beamwidth ≤ 1°, vertical beamwidth ≤ 20°, gain ≥30dB and sidelobe level ≤ −27dB. The simulation result of the array antenna has a horizontal beamwidth of 0.4°, vertical beamwidth of 14.2°, gain of 30.8dB, and sidelobe level of −27.5dB. Recent experimental studies of the radiative decay rate for high-quality quantum wells show a variance of the experimental data especially for narrow quantum wells. Therefore, the theoretical and numerical studies of the exciton-light coupling as an overlap of the light wave and the exciton wave function are of significant interest. In this paper, we present the radiative decay rates obtained for excitons in the GaAs-based quantum wells of various widths from 1 nm up to 100 nm. The exciton wave function is calculated by the direct numerical solution of the three-dimensional Schrödinger equation. The precise results for the lowest exciton state are obtained by the Hamiltonian discretization using the finite-difference scheme. The numerical results are compared with the experimental data extracted from the reflectance spectroscopy measurements for high-quality GaAs/AlGaAs and InGaAs/GaAs heterostructures.","PeriodicalId":387984,"journal":{"name":"2017 Progress In Electromagnetics Research Symposium - Spring (PIERS)","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124740654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
