Demand response is considered as a valid option to alleviate this problem. As one of the main resources in demand side, thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) are widely considered to have significant potential to provide operating reserve. This paper evaluates the power system reliability considering integration of renewable energy and demand response of aggregated TCLs. Firstly, probability distribution estimation is utilized to analyze the power uncertainty of aggregated TCLs and renewable energy. The reserve capacity of aggregated TCLs is estimated by kernel function estimation (KDE). The correlation between wind speed and solar irradiation is modeled by the copula function. Later, the operating states of the power system are sampled by the Monte Carlo simulation and the corresponding reliability indices are calculated. Finally, the proposed method is verified by numerical studies on a modified IEEE RTS 24-bus system.","PeriodicalId":387293,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on Power and Renewable Energy (ICPRE)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130896912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this paper studies the field test scheme suitable for synchronous condenser, including excitation step disturbance, load rejection disturbance and terminal voltage disturbance caused by switching capacitors. Then, parameters of synchronous condenser are identified using particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO). The results show that the parameters identification effect is better under the excitation step disturbance with positive pulse and the terminal voltage disturbance. The effect is even better if multiple groups of parameters identification results under three kinds of disturbances are averaged as the final parameters identification result.","PeriodicalId":387293,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on Power and Renewable Energy (ICPRE)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114757514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper establishes the reliability model of converter station, DC transformer and DC circuit breaker. Considering distributed generations, reliability of AC/DC hybrid distribution network is evaluated by Sequential Monte Carlo Method. Taking the radiant structure as an example, the reliability of AC and AC/DC hybrid distribution network are analyzed and compared. The result shows that three reliability indexes of AC/DC hybrid distribution network are higher than that of AC distribution network. As a result of the high failure rate and fault repair time of key equipment in DC distribution network, SAIFI is worse than that of AC distribution network. With the development of power electronic components, the reliability of AC/DC hybrid power distribution network will be improved significantly.","PeriodicalId":387293,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on Power and Renewable Energy (ICPRE)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125759608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors affecting consumers’ intention to utilize RPTs for domestic use in Pakistan. In order to have a better understanding of the behavioral construct of consumers to adopt or prohibit the RPTs, the current study has contributed through augmenting the structure of planned behavior theory by introducing three additional influence factors including relative advantage, environmental knowledge, and lack of access to electricity in remote areas. The findings of the current study are derived from the calculations conducted on primary data compiled from 230 Pakistani households in provincial capitals including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and Peshawar, and the federal capital Islamabad through conducting a comprehensive survey. The propositions are examined employing the state of art technique called structural equation modeling (SEM). The statistical findings revealed that, on one hand, the influence factors including subjective norms, attitudinal construct, relative advantage, perceived behavioral control, and lack of access to electricity imparted positive influence on consumers’ intention to utilize RPTs in Pakistan. On the other hand, the cost is found to induce prohibition impact on consumers’ intention to utilize RPTs. Notably, the moral norms, environmental concern, environmental knowledge, and awareness are revealed to impart neutral influence on consumers’ intention to utilize RPTs. Based on the empirical findings, vital and useful policy guidelines are suggested in this study.","PeriodicalId":387293,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on Power and Renewable Energy (ICPRE)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121220352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the creeping sound recognition algorithm based on the principle of human cochlear basement membrane and Hilbert transform are proposed to judge the insulation state of the circuit breaker. The surface discharge audio signal passes through the 36dimensionalgammatone filter bank, so the 36 sets of time domain components are obtained. The energy of each component is calculated by Hilbert transform; The Fisher criterion is used to reduce the dimension of 36-dimensional data. After selecting the parameters with large discriminant degree to reconstitute the new feature vector, and the surface discharge sound signal is recognized by one-class support vector machine classifier. The single-class support vector machine maps the energy feature vector of the Surface discharge to the high-dimensional linearly separable feature space through the kernel function, and recognizes the creeping discharge sound through the high-dimensional feature space. The experimental results show that the proposed creeping sound recognition algorithm based on gammatone filter bank and Hilbert transform can effectively identify the insulation state of vacuum circuit breaker.","PeriodicalId":387293,"journal":{"name":"2019 4th International Conference on Power and Renewable Energy (ICPRE)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124114713","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the method, particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to optimize the clustering center and optimal number of clusters is determined by K-means method.
