An example of the process of creating such an element – a rear car reflex lamp – is described. The 1 st part of the article fo-cuses on showing the individual phases of preparing a 3D model of the reflex lamp, while the 2 nd part will present the process of its modification. The authors pay special atten-tion to the role of the tree of the 3D model structure, which is a key factor influencing the project timing.","PeriodicalId":38683,"journal":{"name":"Technische Mechanik","volume":"152 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77487544","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the fact that datum-based methods are well-known, in hitherto practice their application area has been limited. Research activities car-ried out by authors indicate that datum-based methods can be very useful as a part of computer-aided measurement systems allowing conducting measurements directly on a machine tool (in-situ measurements). One of the results of the research work conducted by authors was prov-ing that datum-based methods can be applied to evaluate cylindricity deviations and, with some limitations, to evaluate surface waviness of machine parts.","PeriodicalId":38683,"journal":{"name":"Technische Mechanik","volume":"70 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83904023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
