Chatbot can reduce customer service cost and handle multiple users at a time which makes it become more popular. But yet to accomplish a task in detecting and identifying emotion from users the chatbot interacts with. To address this issue, this paper provides a design of a chatbot, in which the chatbot is able to identify the user’s emotional status through the text provided by the users through the communication and then provide suggestions according to the input given. The emotion detection model will be trained using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and supervised learning. This chatbot is proposed to be used by i-CATS University College to help in the Marketing department to automate the process of answering FAQs and inquiries. However, a full chatbot implementation that replies to human queries is suggested that this research paper should shows to indicate how effective the chatbot can be. A few studies used functional near-infrared signals (fNIRS) to analyze asymmetry during cognitive load. This study examined the hemodynamic response asymmetry in the PFC area during N-back load memory tasks, including 1-, 2-, and 3-back. The investigation results show that the asymmetry index value fluctuates as the level of memory load rises. In particular, the 1-back task's positive asymmetry index value (M = 0.2761,SD = 0.4139) suggested that left-hemisphere activity was more remarkable than right-hemisphere activation. The asymmetry index, on the other hand, revealed a negative value of (M = - 0.2105,SD= 0.4252) and (M = - 0.3665,SD = 1.2472) for the 2-back and 3-back memory tasks, respectively, indicating that the right hemisphere experienced a more significant increase in Hbo activation than the left.","PeriodicalId":386462,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Future Trends in Smart Communities (ICFTSC)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122351052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the available technology during that time, all main platforms were designed with manned operation facilities, which requires operators to be mobilized and available 24hrs on the platforms. Over the years, the operational cost becomes higher due to the offshore logistics and maintenance of the aging facilities. As there is a need to reduce the escalated operating cost while optimizing production, coupled with the necessity to enhance HSE while working at high-risk operation, the requirement to convert to unmanned platform with remote-controlled operations and the integration of intelligent-based system for equipment and system analytics has become more relevant and demanding. This is also supported by the advancement of digital and network communication technologies with the availability of data centralization and integration as well as intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) with standardized communication protocol that are more affordable and reliable as compared to previous years. Although remote operation is not a new practice to the electrical operation particularly at onshore facilities, implementing electrical remote operation at offshore facilities with the integration of intelligent-based systems is considered as a breakthrough in offshore environment. This paper describes the current pain points, description on the proposed solution, the challenges to realize the solution, as well as the way forward and steps taken to overcome such challenges.","PeriodicalId":386462,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Future Trends in Smart Communities (ICFTSC)","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127983101","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An effective model of Machine Health Monitoring System (MHMS) is paramount in providing insightful information for the plant operators as preventive measures against any failure. Several studies have shown the effectiveness of the data-driven model, over the physics-based model in the development of MHMS. This is due to the robustness and sensitivity of the data-driven model based on deep learning or machine learning in detecting the small changes of the data which is especially useful when there are changes in the working state of the machine. In this project, we will investigate two approaches in MHMS namely Remaining Useful Life (RUL) and anomaly prediction using deep learning techniques. Among the deep learning techniques, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) for RUL prediction and anomaly prediction are chosen to be further analysed. In particular, the performance of CNN-based MHMS will be presented in comparison with the LSTM-based MHMS. The proposed RUL model will be used to identify the total number of cycles left for the generator before a major breakdown. On the other hand, anomaly prediction based on LSTM would be developed based on the multivariate forecasting method. In short, CNN model works better for the RUL prediction with the lowest RMSE value of 41.66 and accuracy up to 99.89% as compared to LSTM model whereas for the anomaly prediction through multivariate forecasting, singlelayered LSTM has a better performance as compared to stacked LSTM with accuracy up to 94.54% and RMSE value as low as 0.113","PeriodicalId":386462,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Future Trends in Smart Communities (ICFTSC)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126050364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, a common issue in MAC protocol is the data retransmission strategy relies only on the reply of acknowledgement (ACK) message from sender. Frequent exchange of ACK packet results in high control overhead. Besides, most data retransmission schemes only involve the interactions between source and sink nodes. This could affect the overall network performance. In this paper, we propose an asynchronous MAC protocol which utilize contention-based queuing technique and error control preamble to achieve one hop data retransmission without relying on the exchange of ACK packet. The proposed protocol is analyzed in terms of end-to-end (ETE) delay, energy consumption per data packet, and packet delivery ratio (PDR). Finally, a comparative study between the proposed protocol and the existing protocols will be carried out in future.","PeriodicalId":386462,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Future Trends in Smart Communities (ICFTSC)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116127060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the Generalized Chebyshev polynomial, a 13th order lowpass filter with 5 pairs of finite transmission zeros (TZ) is synthesized. Under frequency transmission, the highpass filter network can be realized. Suspended stripline is used to realize the proposed highpass filter by introducing parallel coupled line placed between the ultra-thin Roger Duriod RO3003 substrate and the resonators to obtain higher coupling and achieve very wideband. With the unique passband, stopband elements and excellent reliability in rough working condition, the application of the filter ranging from military and aerospace to commercial communication system such as ultra-broadband receiver, 5G and others.
