Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) reduced total cholesterol by modulatingcholesterol synthesis pathway and reduced cholesterol biosynthesis genes expression. The goal of this research wasto investigate the prohibition of hypercholesterolemia in type 2 diabetes rat by ALA. Fifteen adult male wistar rats (2-3 months, 200-250 g body weight) were segregated into three groups (standard, type 2 diabetes and type 2 diabetes +ALA). Type 2 diabetes induced by streptozotocin 65 mg/kg and nicotinamide 110 mg/kg. ALA was given for 3 weeksafter type 2 diabetes induced.After 31 days total cholesterol of groups labelled is measured. The result showed therewas significant difference between ALA and type 2 diabetes groups (p= 0.012), and there was no significant differencebetween ALA and standard groups (p= 0.591). EA merupakan gejala yang paling jarang dari penyakitgastroenteritis eosinofilik (EGE). EA terjadi karena adanya edema dan peradangan eosinofilik dari lapisan serosa usushalus dan dapat melibatkan segmen lain pada saluran gastrointestinal. Kami melaporkan kasus seorang wanita berusia19 tahun dengan gambaran mikroskopik sitologi cairan asites tampak eosinofil yang cukup padat dan pemeriksaanhistopatologi dari biopsi lambung menunjukkan infiltrasi eosinofil. Data klinis menunjukkan adanya nyeri abdomendifus, mual, distensi abdomen, ascites sedang, dan diare. Hasil Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) menunjukkanadanya penebalan dinding usus halus difus dan tidak mendeteksi keganasan primer. Hasil tes laboratorium menunjukkaneosinofilia pada pemeriksaan darah tepi, kadar IgE serum meningkat dan negatif untuk infeksi parasit. Pasien mendapatkanterapi SLE selama 1 tahun tanpa perbaikan yang nyata. Pengobatan dengan kortikosteroid menormalkan hasil teslaboratorium dan asites teratasi segera. Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of paraquat on histopathologyof lung, exspecially fibrosis in mice (Mus musculus). This study was an experimental study with post-test only withcontrol design and using 15 mice as sample. Samples were divided into 5 groups consist of one control group and fourdifferent doses of paraquat treatment group (25 mg / kg / day, 50 mg / kg / day, 75 mg / kg / day and 100 mg / kg / day for7 days with spraying). Analysis of the data have used One-Way ANOVA then post-hoc test with tukey to assesseddifferences of each groups. The results showed increasing of lung fibrosis with increasing doses and have significantcorrelations (p = 0.000). A number of inflammatory molecules have beenimplicated in these processes, including interleukin-1 (IL-1). IL-1 receptor antagonist is an endogenous inhibitor of IL-1, which competitively binds to the IL-1 type I receptor without activating it. One ofthis ergonomics principle approach is important for unloading workers in the harbour, because theirworkplace and work-system have high risk of workplace accidents if the principles of ergonomics isnot applied. So, the effectivity, efficiency, productivity, comfort, and health of workers in the harbourneed to be maintained and improved with ergonomics approach. This research was held on harbourin Pekanbaru city , with descriptive observasional method to describe risk of work ergonomy causedby bad application of ergonomics at work and musculosceletal symptoms proportion of 19 unloadingworkers by Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. The result is all unloading workers (100%) havemusculosceletal injury with various grade of injury. The appropiate antibioticadministered will increase the life expectancy of neonates with sepsis. Objective of this study was to know the patternof antibiotic use and appropriateness of antibiotic use based on sensitivity test. The study used observational methodwith cross sectional design. The collected data were retrospective. The study population were neonates with sepsis inperinatal ward from Januari – December 2014. The criteria of inclusion were positive blood culture with sensitivity testsand use of antibiotics. The percentage of particular antibiotics used in neonates with sepsis before sensitivity testwere amikacin 64,3%; meropenem 62,9% and piperazine/tazobactam 50% with suitability of 27,1%. However, aftersensitivity test there were meropenem 38,6%, amikacin 30%, vancomycin 14,3% and piperaciline/tazobactam 14,3%with appropriateness of 64,3%. The most number of antibiotic used before and after sensitivity test were amikacin andmeropenem, respectively. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is agroup of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin actionor both. One of the most complications of diabetes is diabetic neuropathy. Diabetic neuropathy refers to damage ofmotor nerves, sensory, and autonomic system. The aim of this study is to identify patients at risk for diabetic neuropathywith monofilament examination in internist polyclinic Arifin Achmad General Hospital from May to July 2017.Monofilament is an inexpensive, practical tool in everyday use and can be used in early detection of sensation loss inthe foot to prevent diabetic ulcer. This study is descriptive research with direct examination of patient diabetes type 2.There were 73 samples that fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Profile patients with diabetes in the polyclinic are female morethan male is 60,3%. The age group 56-65 years is the most age group of DM patients in the polyclinic is 52.1%.Duration of diabetes is 5-10 years (52.1%). The aim of this study is to know the incidence,characteristic, and complications of pregnancy with heart disease. This study was using descriptive retrospectivedesign with total sampling technique. The sources of data were medical records of patients in January 2013 – December2017 with number of sample is 37 patients.
