Since the measured structure contains only a few of possible responses out of possibly many materials sparsity based convex optimization techniques or compressive sensing can be used for hyperspectral unmixing. In this work varying sparsity based techniques are tested for hyperspectral unmixing problem. Performance analysis of these techniques on sparsity level and measurement number are performed. Effect of high coherence of hyperspectral dictionaries is discussed and effect of signal to noise ratio is analyzed.","PeriodicalId":384835,"journal":{"name":"2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121228302","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recognition of the predetermined line by using image processing algorithms and the process of following the route by using the method of Tangent Vector Field Guidance (TVFG) have been performed in indoor and outdoor experiments. UAV s following the correct route has been ensured by calculating the deflection caused by some factors such as wind and light which adversely affect the flight of UAV. In Vector Field Guidance method, the direction angles calculated by using the vector fields that will follow the line-shaped guide path are used. When the path to be followed has more than one direction instead of a single straight line, it is divided into sections which consist of straight lines, and by prioritizing these lines, the most dominant line is followed. In this study, it is aimed to provide a dynamic model by considering the tracking errors. As a result of the process adopted, UAV's autonomous flight is achieved by using the visual inputs and TVFG method, and the external disturbing factors are investigated.","PeriodicalId":384835,"journal":{"name":"2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114941811","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, instead of using feature vectors produced by LZM directly, we focussed on reducing the dimensions of feature vectors and increasing the performance. In the light of experimental results, a new method called L2ML-YZM which depends on L2-Norm metric learning is suggested to make the feature vectors more discriminative. In L2ML space not only the dimensions of feature vectors are reduced, but also performance rate is increased 6% approximately. The comparison of performances between suggested method and other methods on Labeled Faces In The Wild (LFW) database has done and it is observed that suggested method has succesful success rate.","PeriodicalId":384835,"journal":{"name":"2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115067767","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two practical methods for realizing higher order acoustic sensors using acoustic vector sensor arrays are presented. The first method relies on short linear arrays of closely spaced 2-D vector sensors. The second method is based on the particle velocity measurements obtained along a small circular aperture. Both methods are shown to result in very compact arrays with a steerable and frequency independent response. The directivity of the proposed methods is obtained under realistic ambient noise assumptions.","PeriodicalId":384835,"journal":{"name":"2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU)","volume":"22 17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116554218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to eliminate these outlier results, the nearest estimate to the geometric median of estimates is proposed as a reference in this work. Conducted simulation studies show that significant gains can be obtained using geometric median in place of arithmetic average in robust averaging methods.","PeriodicalId":384835,"journal":{"name":"2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU)","volume":"128 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-06-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122043127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
