Abstract

Nowadays, microstrip antennas, with the advantages of low cost, easy to use and easy production have quite wide application area. At this paper, the design criteria of a rectangular microstrip antenna is investigated and computer aided analyses are performed. Two antenna designs have been realised which the operating frequencies are 900 MHz and 1800 MHz respectively and the effects of geometrical properties to the resonance frequencies are analysed.
