As a result, several enterprises are adopting sensors and other wireless technologies for their needs. However, some challenges exist within the IoT space. Most of the devices in use have varied device semantics and protocol variations which can limit interoperability. As a result, data and process integration can be hindered. In this work, we propose a middleware with both machine-to-infrastructure (M2I) and machine-to-machine (M2M) capabilities which addresses these problems based on mapping techniques between the heterogeneous device semantics and providing a common interface for merging protocol variations. When a device is discoverable, our middleware uses an enhanced environment-context features to match the appropriate communication protocol. This aids in the pushing of data from within-range sensors to a cloud-hosted infrastructure.","PeriodicalId":384523,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS)","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115218718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The new trend consists on moving data to be processed close to where it was generated. To this end, Fog Computing paradigm suggests using the compute and storage power of network elements. In such environments, intelligent and scalable orchestration of thousands of heterogeneous devices in complex environments is critical for IoT Service providers. In this vision paper, we present a framework, called Foggy, that facilitates dynamic resource provisioning and automated application deployment in Fog Computing architectures. We analyze several applications and identify their requirements that need to be taken intoconsideration in our design of the Foggy framework. We implemented a proof of concept of a simple IoT application continuous deployment using Raspberry Pi boards.","PeriodicalId":384523,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131201148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Personal archive is defined as a collection of various artifacts that reflect personal portfolio as well as personal unique identifications. Personal portfolio is beyond of a statement of personal achievement. It is an evidentiary document designed to provide qualitative and quantitative chronically documents and examples. Subjects can tag their information with proof, that is, certified by trusted entities or organizations like universities. Such proofs are associated with confidentiality levels exposed in the public domains. Personal identifications include biometrics as well as other multi-factors such as something the subject “has”, the subject “knows” or the subject “acts”. Stack holders in a consortium oriented blockchain network serve as verifiers and /or miners that provide their trusted services the delegated proof of stake. Such personal archive based system can be exploited to various applications including professional network like Linkedin, instant credit approval like alipay or live human from social bots like internet social media. A prototype simulation shows that such personal portfolio management and service system is feasible and immune to many ID attacks.","PeriodicalId":384523,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123809915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the accurate collection of behavior information, recognition of human activities and implementation of this scheme in a real living environment is a challenging task. In this paper, we propose a feasible extended framework which is compatible with common devices and protocols. Specifically, we treat activity recognition as a cloud service; thus, the application of home automation, environment and health management and advance warning of risk can be directly applied using this service. Finally, we evaluate our approach and show that it can achieve a theoretical accuracy of 93%, and can be run on cost-effective devices such as BeagleBone.","PeriodicalId":384523,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129387361","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a particular challenge, tasks performed in a paper-driven way shall be digitally transformed with the use of mobile devices. With the goal to enable business applications supporting human-centric mobile services in mind, we developed a framework that extends existing process management technology with mobile activities running on smart mobile devices. Note that when considering the frequently changing conditions of mobile environments, the prevention and the proper handling of exceptions (e.g., lost connections) become crucial. The developed framework, therefore, aims to prevent exceptions and to provide a sophisticated exception handling service not supported by existing process management technology so far.","PeriodicalId":384523,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS)","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124147997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

DevOps techniques are commonly used to automate the process of development and operation through continuous integration and continuous deployment. Monitoring software systems created by DevOps, makes it possible for MSA to obtain the feedback necessary to improve the system quickly and easily. Nonetheless, systematic, SDLC-driven methods (SDLC: software development life cycle) are lacking to facilitate the migration of software systems from a traditional monolithic architecture to MSA. Therefore, this paper proposes a migration process based on SDLC, including all of the methods and tools required during design, development, and implementation. The mobile application, EasyLearn, was used as an illustrative example to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed migration process. We believe that this paper could provide valuable references for other development teams seeking to facilitate the migration of existing applications to MSA.","PeriodicalId":384523,"journal":{"name":"2017 IEEE International Conference on AI & Mobile Services (AIMS)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121073819","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
