DERs offer the benefits like voltage control, network loss minimization and reliability. Studies conducted have indicated that placement and sizing of DER have critical influence over distribution network operation. Optimal placement and sizing of distributed energy resources (OPSDER) is essential to ensure stable as well as reliable operation of the power system. Many techniques have been applied for this purpose. OPSDER problem has been solved keeping single as well as multiple objectives in the view and taking into account the constraints imposed. This is because the power generated by small solar multijunction cells with concentrators lens drops dramatically once the pointing angle position error exceeds maximum acceptance angle of less than 1°. In this present paper, a sun tracking unit based on optimized Hybrid control has been realized to improve the tracking accuracy and reactivity of a dual-axis tracking unit in CPV systems. The hybrid control system including two strategies based on closed-loop algorithm to communicate with LDRs sensors as well as an open loop algorithm based on astronomical equations is implemented and tested. The circuit of the hardware part related to the hybrid sun tracker has been carefully designed in such way the sun tracking continues along azimuth axis and the elevation axis in both clear and cloudy sky throughout the day. We first report the results of experimental analyses and comparison of tracking accuracy between the closed and open loop. Based on these results, the strategy of hybrid solution is proposed and implemented. The results of drivers consumption of the developed hybrid solar tracker indicate a low power consumption with a total energy of 3.66Wh along altitude axis and 3.03Wh along azimuth axis in the day. The authors of the new methods always criticize the PSDP method for its drawbacks related to the smoothing and side effects of the selected window function. This paper aims at showing that the PSDP based on the Kaiser window associated with an adequate calculation of the shape parameter can overcome these drawbacks. This calculation which takes into account the characteristics of the stator current spectrum, will improve the detection of the faults while retaining the main advantage of the method, namely a fast calculation time. The adaptive mechanisms are designed to augment the performance and robustness of baseline control laws under normal and abnormal operating conditions.  Novel artificial neural network-based and artificial immune system-based approaches are developed and investigated for an advanced power plant through linear model simulation. Abnormal conditions are simulated by altering the parameters of the transfer functions (gains, delays, and time constants). The performance metrics used to analyze the different control solutions include integral and mean of absolute value of tracking error and overshoot. Comparative results demonstrate the promising capability of the biomimetic adaptive mechanisms to increase robustness of baseline control laws under plant abnormalities. This study aims to look at the accuracy of Geometric Moment invariant (GMI) and Zernike Moment invariant (ZMI) with Self-Organizing Maps to recognize human ears. This study used data from ear AMI database, consisting of 125 ears from 25 different people, in which each person has 5 images of the right ear. In this study, each image of the ear is modified with a different rotation angle. The accuracy of ear image recognition using GMI is 75.20% while using ZMI is 66%. The accuracy of using Geometric Moment Invariant is higher by 9.2% because Geometric Moment Invariant does not change the result of the image to be recognized due to translation, scaling, reflection and rotation.GMI cannot recognize the image of the ear with an average of 24.80% while the ZMI cannot recognize the image of the ear with an average of 34.40%. From the test results, at a rotation angle of 30 ° CCW, the geometric moment method has the best accuracy, while the Zernike moment method has the best accuracy at 30 ° CW. The controller gains and the scaling factors of the Fuzzy Logic Controller are tuned by a newly accepted optimization scheme called the Termite Correlation PSO algorithm. The stability of the system is tested under a step load disturbance of 0.01 p.u. The robustness of the system is further established by the application of a random load disturbance in the system. The transient performance of the system in terms of settling time, maximum overshoots and minimum undershoots are observed and the supremacy of the system is tested by comparing it to the Fuzzy-PID controller and the conventional PID controller. Mathematical models for the full cycle of composites production (preliminary heating, polymerization and cooling) are developed. The authors examine peculiarities of Hankel finite integral transformations method and isothermal surfaces method as applied to solving simulating tasks. Heat emission is measured in the course of polymerization. The developed mathematical apparatus allows to create simulation software. The authors give recommendations to improve control system for polymerization process.
