The controller gains and the scaling factors of the Fuzzy Logic Controller are tuned by a newly accepted optimization scheme called the Termite Correlation PSO algorithm. The stability of the system is tested under a step load disturbance of 0.01 p.u. The robustness of the system is further established by the application of a random load disturbance in the system. The transient performance of the system in terms of settling time, maximum overshoots and minimum undershoots are observed and the supremacy of the system is tested by comparing it to the Fuzzy-PID controller and the conventional PID controller.
