Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries. \u0000Findings: Climate change adaptation policies in Australia have significantly influenced the viability of sheep farming in recent years. Research indicates that the implementation of targeted adaptation measures, such as improved pasture management and water conservation strategies, has helped mitigate the adverse impacts of climate change on sheep farming viability. Studies have shown that farms adopting these policies have experienced higher survival rates of livestock and increased profitability compared to those without such measures. Additionally, government support programs aimed at assisting sheep farmers in implementing climate adaptation strategies have been instrumental in enhancing the resilience of the sector. \u0000Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Adaptation theory in environmental economics, resilience theory & theory of planned behavior (TPB) may be used to anchor future studies on analyze the impact of climate change on wheat yields in Australia. The enhancement of breeding programs focuses on practical genetic advancements to create drought and heat-resistant sheep varieties, addressing direct climate impacts on livestock. Initially, it led to increased input costs and decreased profitability, but it also spurred innovation and efficiency improvements. However, limited access to credit and inadequate support structures hindered overall productivity. Tailored policy interventions are crucial to address these challenges and promote sustainable growth in the sector. \u0000Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Public choice theory, theory of economic adjustment & dependency theory may be used to anchor future studies on analyze the impact of subsidy removal on smallholder livestock farmers' productivity in Nigeria. Our current study looked into already published studies and reports as the data was easily accessed through online journals and libraries. \u0000Findings: Livestock insurance plays a crucial role in mitigating the financial impact of epidemic outbreaks on cattle farms. Studies consistently show that cattle farms with livestock insurance experience lower financial losses post-epidemic compared to those without insurance, as they are able to recoup a portion of their losses through insurance claims. Moreover, insured cattle farms exhibit a higher recovery rate, enabling them to rebuild their herds more quickly and resume normal operations. Comprehensive livestock insurance policies that address various risk factors, including disease outbreaks and market price fluctuations, are particularly effective in stabilizing farm incomes and enhancing financial resilience. \u0000Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: Risk management theory, theory of planned behavior (TPB) & prospect theory may be used to anchor future studies on analyze the role of livestock insurance in mitigating financial impact of epidemic outbreaks on cattle farms. Subsidizing premiums can change the economic calculus for farmers, making the decision to invest in insurance more attractive and financially feasible. Having evolved over centuries alongside the human species, it is now deeply tied to various cultures around the world. This includes American culture, as meat is one of the fundamental components of the Standard American Diet, made up of traditionally unhealthy food choices too high in sugars and processed foods. Even amidst the increasing popularity of veganism and a shift towards more plant-based dietary changes, meat consumption has not and will not be completely eliminated in the near future, and can be incorporated into a healthy lifestyle for its multiple health benefits when consumed in moderation. As the largest segment of US agriculture, the meat and poultry industry is a defining part of the American food system. This highlights the importance of understanding the primary laws and regulations governing meatpacking. The need is greater than ever to ensure that these policies are positively impacting the consumer, the environment and the farmers themselves, especially small, independent farmers, which are generally less favored in an oligopolistic economic system. While the regulations in place provide ample structure, detailed guidelines and specific policies for maintaining the necessary health and safety standards involved in meatpacking, their complicated structure imposes regulatory difficulties on independent farmers, limits consumer choice, and chokes small-scale production.

The present study was conducted to report the affect of age and physiological status on few blood biochemical parameters of apparently healthy goats from the hot and humid areas of Andhra Pradesh. A total of 18 sheep of age 0-1 year, pregnant and lactating were used for our study. The results evidenced significantly higher RBC, Hb in pregnant group compared to others. The PCV were found to be significantly higher in 0-1 year group. The total protein, creatinine were significantly higher in lactating group compared to the other two. The albumin levels were found to be significantly higher in pregnant group. The cholesterol, calcium, phosphorus levels were found to be significantly higher in 0-1 year group and decreased in periparturient period. The study established baseline values of Nellore sheep in the hot and humid areas of Andhra Pradesh and therefore can be used as reference values for further studies on these species.

Through stratified random sampling, 180 respondents were interviewed for household surveys, 16 key informants (KII), and four (4) focus groups discussions (FGDs), comprising of 36 participants. Structured and Semi-structured interviews with closed and open ended questions were used to collect both qualitative and quantitative data based on research objectives. An interview guide was used to collect information from participants in FGDs and interview schedules for KIIs. The data collected was analysed using SPSS and excel spreadsheet. \u0000Findings: Findings showed that both genders suggested the fact that training centres will improve access to bee keeping skills. However, while men did not mind the locality, women needed the centres on-farm. Women’s solutions are geared towards capital and gender related factors that constrain them while men’s are on improvement of services offered. The study found that the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO) centre in the study area has plans to assist bee keepers to advertise and market their products through associations, a scenario that triggered diverse solutions from both genders to marketing challenges. \u0000Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy: The study suggests that projects with bee interventions should plan for gender responsive forums where all key players, including men and women farmers, can come together in order to strengthen production and marketing depending on the prevailing challenges.
