From time to time, dangerous situations may appear around blast furnaces. This paper presents a real-time localization tool combining two technologies: Bluetooth Low Energy and Mesh Network. This non-intrusive, almost wireless, solution provides a clear live visualization of workers' positions to interpret that nobody is in a risky environment at any given time through an user-friendly interface with various functionalities such as geofencing and automatic alarms.
