The geological units include basalt, andesite, trachyandesite, and sedimentary rocks. Conglomerate composed of volcanic fragments and nummulitic limestone has been deposited as a result of subsequent volcanic activity. The majority of trachyte to andesitic rocks that plot within the shoshonite series and exhibit high LREE/HREE and Th/Yb ratios suggest an active continental margin. Elevated Th and Nb values indicate a minor continental crustal assimilation event. Initial 87Sr/86Sr and εNd (i) of the volcanic rocks (t=40 Ma) are 0.7042 to 0.7046 and +4.96 to +5.10 in the Nasim copper deposit, which confirms that it occurred during the continental margin subduction zone. The volcanic rocks were formed in a non-marine environment, and mineralization occurred within the conglomerate bands. The Nasim copper deposit has considered as Manto-type deposit, and chalcocite mineralization occurred after the formation of the conglomerate. The absence of epidote associated with chalcocite suggests low iron content and reducing conditions in the ore-forming fluid of the Nasim deposit. Therefore, the source of mineralization is not magmatic, and further studies on the origin of this deposit should be conducted.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-10-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147904220","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To address this, we developed a novel nanosystem by loading 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) onto amine-functionalized dendritic fibrous nanosilica (ALA@KCC-1-NH₂) for enhanced photodynamic diagnosis. The synthesized nanoparticles exhibited uniform spherical morphology (average diameter: 455 ± 30 nm), high surface area (352 m²/g for KCC-1), and mesoporous architecture. After functionalization and drug loading, the final formulation retained structural integrity with a drug loading content of 15.3 wt% and encapsulation efficiency of 85.6%. In vitro release studies revealed a pH-responsive profile, with minimal release (<20%) at pH 7.4 and accelerated release (>70%) at pH 5.5 over 24 hours. Cytotoxicity assays confirmed excellent biocompatibility of the blank carrier and significant light-induced cytotoxicity from ALA@KCC-1-NH₂, with an IC₅₀ of 0.45 mM under irradiation—three times lower than that of free 5-ALA (1.38 mM). Confocal microscopy demonstrated a 4.5-fold increase in intracellular protoporphyrin IX fluorescence in HT-29 colorectal cancer cells treated with ALA@KCC-1-NH₂ compared to free 5-ALA. These results indicate that the fibrous nanosilica carrier significantly enhances 5-ALA uptake and fluorescence signal generation, offering a promising strategy for improved intraoperative tumor visualization. The ALA@KCC-1-NH₂ platform thus holds strong potential for advancing fluorescence-guided surgery in colorectal cancer management. Given the ∼455 ± 30 nm particle diameter, the envisioned translational route is topical/endoscopic or intraluminal application (spray/instillation) rather than intravenous delivery.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-08-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147892352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It focuses on the traditional knowledge, uses, beliefs, and rituals associated with fungi in various societies and indigenous cultures around the world. The variety, edibility, indigenous knowledge, and distribution of wild edible mushrooms in the Northwestern Himalaya especially in Jammu, Kashmir, (UT) Ladakh (UT), and the states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh were investigated from time to time. Macrofungi are an important natural wild bioresource. These wild mushrooms are edible or inedible and poisonous and the edible ones are rich sources of protein, carbohydrates, and minerals. Due to their desirable, exotic flavor, and nutritional value wild mushrooms are consumed by inhabitants of the respective region. In India, the practice of consumption and medicinal uses of mushrooms are quite common and it dates back to 1700–1100 BC. Wild mushrooms have hallucinogenic, antidiabetic, antiar- thritic, anticancerous, and antiviral properties. The traditional knowledge of tribal people is used to promote health. Ceremonial, religious, and other nonpractical uses of wild fungi are of relatively minor importance. Due to modernization, the traditional knowledge about ethnomycological uses of fungi is at risk as the young generation is neither aware and nor willing to grasp this knowledge.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"213-250"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-08-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147884792","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study demonstrates the synthesis of hybrid xerogels through thermoreversible gelation using rPET matrices combined with nickel-decorated carbon nanotubes (Ni@CNTs). Investigations focused on the gel formation dynamics within rPET/Ni@CNT systems and structural transformations during xerogel formation. The engineered xerogels displayed hierarchical macroporous architectures supported by interconnected nanofibrous networks, achieving enhanced thermal resilience and mechanical strength. To functionalize these scaffolds, polyethylene glycol (PEG) was chemically grafted to fabricate phase-change composites (PCCs) with multifunctional capabilities. Optimized PCC formulations exhibited synergistic performance metrics: enhanced heat transfer kinetics (1.3±0.32 W/(m·K)), substantial energy storage capacity (125.6 J/g), and reliable thermal cycling stability (zero leakage through 20 meltfreeze cycles). Furthermore, the PCCs exhibited a considerable solar-thermal conversion efficiency (73.4%) and a significative electromagnetic shielding capacity (30.4 dB). This methodology estab lishes a viable pathway for valorizing post-consumer PET waste into high-performance engineering materials, aligning with circular economy objectives.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-07-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147913566","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"OA","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Depending on cultural practices, treatment efficacy, and environmental conditions, the estimated damage caused by diseases and pests in nut crops ranges from 20% to 50%. Among nut crops, walnuts and hazelnuts are widely cultivated globally, and their most serious diseases and insect pests include bacterial blight, powdery mildew, Armillaria root rot, apple mosaic virus, moths, beetles, flies, bugs, aphids, and mites. Accurate identification of plant pests and diseases is a critical first step in effective pest and disease control and management. Farmers often rely solely on chemical spraying to control these pests, which can lead to pest resistance. This chapter outlines different Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices that successfully maintain pest and disease levels below economic thresholds. The IPM approach offers several advantages over conventional management methods, as it is more economical and environmentally friendly, contributing to a sustainable agroecosystem. This book chapter provides a brief introduction to the most common diseases and pests affecting major nut crops and serves 288as a valuable resource for students and agricultural specialists, aiding in the identification and management of pests and diseases while evaluating their economic impact.","PeriodicalId":38063,"journal":{"name":"Dental Press Endodontics","volume":"1 1","pages":"287-305"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2025-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"147881237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
