Gąsiorczyk","doi":"10.4467/29563763.oldk.23.013.19136","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.4467/29563763.oldk.23.013.19136","url":null,"abstract":"The role of social prevention in developing safety in educational institutions on the example of museum lessons of the Central Fire Museum in Myslowice \u0000\u0000In the presented article, the authors address issues related to the educational activities of the Central Museum of Fire Fighting in Myslowice. The Myslowice museum, which is also an organizational unit of the State Fire Service, has in its offer a number of educational activities for different age groups. Some of them are part of the tasks implemented in the field of activities related to social prevention in the broadest sense. One such lesson is the class titled “Safe Home,” which is conducted using the Mobile Simulator of Single-Family House Fire Hazards, an innovative multimedia tool. With its help it is possible to address issues related to: the dangers of using an open fire, putting out a grease fire, using fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, but also, importantly, the topics of alarming and safe evacuation. The simulator is equipped with two computers controlled by a specially designed application, as well as installations to produce light and sound effects. Additional motivation for their presentation were the undertakings and initiatives of the previous and current year concerning fire protection, taking into account the special value of cultural property and national heritage. The considerations presented deal with an important issue boiling down to the question of how to protect more effectively? - How to effectively secure cultural heritage and how to more effectively provide full protection to monuments? Among other things, the article addresses the need and legitimacy of fire protection planning. These issues were linked to the topic of applying new technologies and solutions for fire protection. In conclusion, it was indicated that these activities should be aimed at the goal of improving the effectiveness of fire protection combined with its adaptation and rationalization. Securing cultural heritage and providing full protection to monuments requires deepening cooperation between many entities, including in particular the State Fire Service and conservators of monuments. Since As turbogenerators operate for long periods of time, the process of continuous cooling of generator equipment plays an important role, as its overheating can lead to emergency chain reactions, fires, explosions, etc. Analysis of statistical data on the occurrence of emergency situations (fires) related to hydrogen leaks from process equipment indicates insufficient operational qualifications of operational personnel, poor quality of equipment repair, errors of repair personnel and their violation of technical requirements for repairing equipment and their systems, design defects in equipment and systems that ensure its operation. It has been established that the causes of emergency situations are: hydrogen leakage due to leaks in equipment, spontaneous ignition of hydrogen, the presence of air space in turbogenerator equipment, violation of technological regulations, contamination of hydrogen with moisture and pollution, unhermetization of the generator body. Modeling of the hydrogen combustion process during its release from the casing of a turbine-generator was carried out using the example of a power plant engine room. The study showed that the longest hydrogen combustion time will occur when hydrogen is released through holes with geometric size d0 in the range of 0.05--0.1 m (50--100 mm). At larger values of the geometric size of the hole d0 > 0.1 m, the hydrogen burning time is insignificant, and at values of d0 < 0.005 m, the length of the flame burner L does not exceed 1.15 m. The results of the study confirm that hydrogen flame torch combustion can occur as a result of turbogenerator failure. The authors focused mainly on three major international organizations, where appropriate structures, mechanisms or groups have been created for this purpose, i.e. – the European Union (EU), the United Nations (UN), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). These organizations also have their own coordination centers operating on a 24-hour basis, which makes these activities coordinated and supervised. This article also presents the legal basis on which the above-mentioned structures are established.
