Fungsi awal sebagai media ruwatan berubah menjadi hiburan. Perubahan tersebut menarik perhatian untuk diteliti. Dengan rumusan, bagaimana struktur dan perubahan fungsi pertunjukan wayang. Adapun tujuan penelitian yaitu ingin mendeskripsikan struktur pertunjukkan dan perubahan fungsinya tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan tahapan pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi partisipan, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Kemudian, pengolahan data membuat transkrip hasil pengamatan dan wawancara mendalam. Selanjutnya, dianalisa dengan teori fungsionalisme Malinowski. Hasil penelitian ini adalah telah terjadi perubahan fungsi pertunjukkan wayang golek purwa dari sakral menjadi profan/hiburan, disebabkan oleh berubahnya sistem kepercayaan masyarakat, cara berpikir modern, kebutuhan masyarakat akan hiburan, adanya konflik, bencana alam tsunami, dan pengaruh kebudayaan luar, serta didukung oleh sponsor dan anjuran dari Bupati Kabupaten Tasikmalaya untuk menghilangkan unsur sesaji.Kata Kunci: Wayang, Sakral, Profan, dan Syukur Laut. ABSTRACT The tradition of sea gratitude has existed since 1975, filled with jempana rituals and ending with the purwa puppet show.It’s initial function as a medium for ruwatan turned into entertainment. These changes attract attention to research. With the formulation, how the structure and function changes of wayang performances. The research objective is to describe the structure of the performance and changes in its function. This research uses qualitative methods, with the stages of data collection using participant observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. Then, data processing makes transcripts of observations and in-depth interviews. Furthermore, it is analyzed by Malinowski's theory of functionalism. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan studi kepustakaan dan mengamati praktik penyajian karya-karya Mang Koko secara cermat, melalui rekaman audio. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan: (1) kemampuan Mang Koko dalam menciptakan bentuk karya lagu sekar dan gendingbaru, yang tidak sama dengan karya lagu dan gending sebelumnya; (2) kreativitas Mang Koko dalam membuat karya lagu dan gending, merupakan wujud nyata dari kerangka berpikir dalam mengkaji dan menganalisis unsur-unsur musikal karawitan tradisi terutama pola lagu sekar dan gendingnya; (3) komunikasi yang dilakukan Mang Koko melalui grup Kanca Indihiang selalu dibuat dengan cermat dan harmonis, agar karyanya dapat tersebarkan dengan baik kepada orang-orang yang ditargetkan. Atas dasar hal itu, ketiga aspek tersebut dapat menuntun pada kesimpulan bahwa proses kreatif, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kreativitasnya, hubungan antara karya dengan perkembangan sosial, ekonomi, dan sebagainya, secara keseluruhan bisa dikategorikan sebagai kajian budaya.Kata Kunci: Mang Koko, Kreativitas, Gending ABSTRACT ‘Mang Koko’s creativity in Sekar Jenaka of Kanca Indihiang group’ is a study to see how Mang Koko's activities are in his work and in socializing his works. The purpose of this paper is to find answers to questions: (1) What is the art that is Mang Koko's basic foundation in creating his works; (2) What creativity did Mang Koko do; and (3) What efforts did Mang Koko make to spread his works. This paper uses a qualitative method where the data is carried out by studying literature and maintaining the practice of presenting Mang Koko's works carefully through audio recordings. Tujuan penelitian adalah menjelaskan proses pertanda yang bersifat ikonik yang berwujud motif batik sebagai identitas sebuah daerah yang merupakan mitos baru menurut perspektif semiotika pos-struktural. Manfaat teoretisnya adalah mengembangkan penelitian antropologi tentang batik dalam pendekatan semiotika. Manfaat praktisnya berupa pengetahuan mengenai batik sebagai sebuah identitas daerah Kabupaten Lebak. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Populasi penelitian adalah empat belas orang masyarakat Kabupaten Lebak yang dibagi sesuai jenis pekerjaan. Variabel penelitian meliputi ikon, mitos, dan identitas. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kedua-belas motif batik Lebak yang terinspirasi dari potensi kekayaan daerah dianggap sebagai cermin dari Kabupaten Lebak. Berkaitan dengan itu, Pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Lebak juga membuat kebijakan perihal dua-belas motif batik yang dijadikan ikon bagi identitas Kabupaten Lebak.Kata kunci: Batik Lebak, Identitas, Ikon, Mitos ABSTRACT The case of this study is to analyze how the process the new mites was formed which is in the form of twelve Batik Lebak design from the history, and it has been an icon of Lebak region identity. The purpose of this research was explain about the process that is iconic which is Batik design formed as an region identity that is the new mites according to semiotics perspective post-structural. The benefit of the theory is developing anthropology research about batik in the term of semiotics approach. Another benefit is a science that related to Batik as an identity of Lebak Regency. The method of this research is qualitative by collected of the data through references, interview, and documentation. The population of this research took fourteen people from Lebak Regency which is divided according to their Profession. The variables of the research are icon, mites, and Identity. The result of the research found out that twelve Batik of Lebak which was inspired of region wealth as an reflected of Lebak Regency. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui pengolahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Analisis yang dilakukan menekankan identitas budaya sebagai konsep utama, serta teori interpretivisme simbolik sebagai pisau bedah dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ditinjau menggunakan sudut pandang etik dan emik, menemukan bahwa masyarakat Ujung Berung memaknai Benjang Gulat sebagai sesuatu yang penting dalam kehidupan mereka dan sudah menjadi ciri khas yang melekat dalam kebudayaan masyarakatnya, Benjang Gulat identik dengan masyarakat Ujung Berung, begitupun masyarakat Ujung Berung yang identik dengan keberadaan Benjang Gulat. Oleh karena itu, Benjang Gulat dimaknai sebagai simbol identitas budaya masyarakat Ujung Berung.Kata Kunci: Benjang Gulat, Ujung Berung, Identitas Budaya ABSTRACT This article is about the development of Benjang and a structure of Benjang, the interpretation of Ujung Berung community to Benjang Gulat, and the analysis of the cultural identity symbols of Ujung Berung attached to Benjang Gulat. This study is conducted by using qualitative descriptive method with tabulation of data by using tringulasi technique. The analysis focused on cultural identity as the main concept, with the symbolic interpretivism as a theoritical framework for this study. The results are analyzed in etic and emic perspective. Tujuan dari penelitian ini bermaksud untuk menjelaskan kuasa/pengetahuan dalam rangka pembentukan identitas orang Jember melalui pewacanaan pendalungan dan menjelaskan efek yang timbul dari wacana. Manfaat teoritisnya dalam mengembangkan kajian antropologi tentang konsep identitas berkaitan pendalungan beserta efeknya, khususnya dalam pembentukan identitas dengan pendekatan wacana kuasa/pengetahuan. Manfaat praktisnya sebagai masukan kepada masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam melakukan pengembangan tentang identitas warga Jember. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif menggunakan instrumen studi pustaka dan wawancara. Populasi penelitian adalah seniman, akademisi dan sejarawan. Variabel penelitian berupa identitas, imajinasi dan multikultural. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa identitas bukan lahir dari sebuah situasi yang harmoni dan keseimbangan, melainkan pergulatan,kontestasi, benturan, beradu argumen dan wacana, pergesekan, dinamis dan produktif. Berkaitan dengan itu, simpulan penellitian ini bahwa identitas bukan suatu hal yang tetap melainkan bersifat lentur dan cair atau beragam.Kata Kunci: Pendalungan, imajinasi, identitas, wacana ABSTRACT The research problem formulated within this study is the question of why the pendalungan discourse was repreatedly surfaced and how is the influence of power/knowledge from the other side of this very discourse. This study seeks to unfold the essence of power/knowledge in forming the identity of the people of Jember through the pendalungan discourse as well as to provide an elaboration of the resulted effect from said discourse. The theoretical implication of this study would be the development of anthropological studies concerning the identity and influence of pendalungan, particularly on the formation of identity through the approach of power/knowledge discourse. As for the practical implication, the outcome of this study could serve as a form of valid recommendation both for the people and government in pursuing the development of the identity of Jember people. Drawing upon artists, academics, and historians as the population, this study made use of qualitative approach as the main method as well as literature review and interview as the instrument. A number of variables involved within this study were identity, imagination, and multiculturalism. The result of the study revealed that identity is not to be regarded as an entity born from a harmonious and balanced situation, rather, from an atmosphere that is full of struggles, contestation, clashes, conflicts of arguments and discourse, frictions between parties, dynamics, as well as productivity. Sanggar Sekar Kantil sebagai salah satu sanggar yang masih melestarikan sekaligus tempat bernaung bagi beberapa pelaku tradisi begalan yang ada di Kabupaten Banyumas memiliki pandangan baru terhadap tradisi begalan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Proses pelaksanaan tradisi begalan oleh sanggar Sekar Kantil terdiri dari dua tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Tahap persiapan dilakukan oleh pelaku tradisi begalan untuk mempersiapkan segala sesuatu yang dibutuhkan dalam pelaksanaan tradisi begalan. Tahap pelaksaaan merupakan tahap dimana pelaku tradisi begalan melaksanakan pementasan tradisi begalan pada pernikahan masyarakat Banyumas. 2) Redefinisi makna tradisi begalan yang diberikan oleh sanggar Sekar Kantil terhadap tradisi begalan adalah pada arti tradisi begalan yang sebelumnya berasal dari kata begal yang artinya rampok menjadi besan gawa lantaran. Redefinisi juga diberikan kepada nama pelaku tradisi begalan yaitu danabau dan juru mertani serta penjelasan ubo rampe tradisi begalan yang dilaksanakan oleh sanggar Sekar kantil menggunakan sanepan atau othak athik gathuk.Kata kunci: Tradisi Begalan, Makna, Sanggar ABSTRACT Begalan tradition is one of the marriage traditions that exist in the Banyumas Regency society which is full of meaning and advice for newly married brides. Sekar Kantil Studio as one of the studios that still preserves as well as acting as a shelter for a number of performers of the begalan tradition in Banyumas Regency has a new view of the begalan tradition. The results of the research show that: 1) The process of implementing the begalan tradition by the Sekar Kantil studio consists of two stages: the preparatory stage and the implementation stage. The preparatory stage is carried out by the performers of the begalan tradition to prepare everything needed in the implementation of the begalan tradition. The implementation stage is the stage where the performers of traditions carry out the performance of traditions at the Banyumas community wedding. 2) The redefinition of the meaning of the tradition given by the Sekar Kantil studio to the tradition is that the tradition is derived from the word “begal” which means “robber” into “besan gawa lantaran”. Terkait dengan adanya tradisi sistem pertanian rakyat dalam bentuk budidaya tanaman kopi organik tersebut, pada perkembangannya berdampak kepada sektor lain, yaitu bidang pariwisata. Sektor pariwisata yang kini sedang menjadi trand dalam percaturan industri kepariwisataan berbasis kearifan lokal. Isu kearifan lokal yang menjadi daya tarik dan bernilai ekonomis tinggi, menjadi peluang besar untuk dikembangkan oleh masyarakat lokal setempat. Perubahan pada tradisi bertani kopi yang dikembangkan oleh masyarakat desa hutan di Gunung Puntang, bukan semata-mata masyarakatnya untuk mencari keuntungan, namun ada faktor internal yang harus dijaga, bahwa masyarakat petani kopi Gunung Puntang merasa termotivasi dengan situasi alam dan lingkungan yang subur sebagai lahan pertanian. Adapun faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi terjadinya komodifikasi antara lain dipengaruhi oleh adanya peluang dan tatangan kondisi perekonomian di era teknologi dan informatika sekarang. Itulah yang membuat tradisi bertani kopi organik ini sangat kuat untuk dipertahankan dan sudah melekat di mata masyarakat karena telah memberikan manfaat banyak bagi masyarakat daerah. Tulisan ini merupakan deskripsi ilmiah dari sebuah penelitian lapangan yang menggambarkan peran petani dalam menjaga hutan konservasi atau hutan sosial di Gunung Puntang dinilai penting agar pengetahuan kearifan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan tumbuhan tersebut tidak hilang oleh adanya arus moderenisasi.Kata Kunci: Tradisi Budidaya Kopi Organik, Komodifikasi, Pengembangan Pariwisata Budaya, Gunung Puntang.ABSTRACT The reality that occurs in the community of Gunung Puntang has become a tradition of organic coffee cultivation, as a barn of the people's economy that develops into the appeal of local wisdom-based tourism. Related to the tradition of the people's agricultural system in the form of organic coffee crop cultivation, in the development impact to other sectors, namely the tourism industry. The tourism industry is now being new in the world of local wisdom-based tourist industry. The issue of local wisdom that becomes an attraction and high economical value, becomes a great opportunity to be developed by local communities. Penelitian berjudul “Pewarisan Budaya dalam kesenian Bringbrung di Kelurahan Ledeng, Kecamatan Cidadap Hilir, Kota Bandung”, pembahasannya menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitik. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori sosial dan budaya yang mengungkap pewarisan budaya secara sosialisasi, enkulturasi dan internaslisasi. Penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sistem sosial dalam pewarisan budaya kesenian Bringbrung di Kelurahan Ledeng Kecamatan Cidadap Hilir, Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini adalah mengungkap tentang: 1) Proses pewarisan dalam Kesenian Bringbrung dilakukan secara Sosialisasi, Enkulturasi dan Internalisasi; 2) Media pewarisan meliputi praktek menabuh terebang, menyayikan lagu-lagu, menari dan pengelolaan keorganisasian; 3) Faktor pendukung dalam pewarisan adalah masyarakat, orang-tua, pemerintah, media sosial, seniman dan sanggar seni Bringbrung; sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi keterbatasan mengenal budaya leluhur, profit seni Bringbrung tidak menjamin kehidupan, dan derasnya globalisasi yang memarjinalkan seni tradisional. Pewarisan budaya yang dilakukan oleh seniman Bringbrung kepada generasi-generasi penerus bertujuan agar kesenian Bringbrung dapat dilestarikan keberadaannya.Kata Kunci: Bringbrung, Pewarisan Budaya, Kelurahan Ledeng ABSTRACT This thesis is the result of cultural anthropology research on cultural inheritance in art, namely Bringbrung art in Ledeng sub-district, Cidadap Hilir, Bandung.The research with the title 'Cultural Heritage in Bringbrung art in Ledeng sub-district of Cidadap Hilir, Bandung', discussion uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analytic methods. The theory that is used in this research is a social and cultural theory that reveals cultural inheritance through socialization, enculturation, and internalization. This study aims to explain the social system in the cultural inheritance of Bringbrung art in Ledeng sub-district, Cidadap Hilir, Bandung. The results of this study are revealing about: 1) The process of inheritance in Bringbrung Art is carried out in socialization, enculturation and internalization; 2) Media of inheritance includes the practice of beating beats, singing songs, dancing and organizational management; 3) The supporting factors in inheritance are the community, parents, government, social media, artists and Bringbrung art studios: while inhibiting factors include limitations on knowing the ancestral culture, Bringbrung's art profit does not guarantee life, the rapid globalization that marginalizes traditional art. Upacara ini, dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Sunda termasuk pada masyarakat Sunda di Kota Bandung sebagai suatu cara yang dipercaya agar prosesi pernikahan dapat berjalan lancar. Dalam perkembangan era globalisasi, tradisi tersebut mengalami perubahan diakibatkan masyarakat Kota Bandung yang mudah mendapatkan arus globalisasi sehingga masyarakat lebih menyukai produk jasa yang lebih efisien dan praktis sebagai ciri masyarakat modern. Hal ini berdampak pada munculnya penyedia jasa yang memodifikasi tradisi ngaras dan ngibakan dengan mengikuti permintaan pasar untuk mendapatkan nilai komoditas maksimal. Tulisan ini, merupakan deskripsi analisis dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Adapun teori yang digunakan, yaitu komodifikasi. Penelitian ini, bertujuan untuk menggali sejauh mana proses komodifikasi serta dampak yang ditimbulkan terhadap masyarakat Sunda Kota Bandung itu sendiri.Kata Kunci : Komodifikasi, Upacara Tradisi, Ngaras dan Ngibakan ABSTRACT The ngaras and ngibakan ceremony is a tradition that is carried out before entering the wedding day. This ceremony, carried out by the Sundanese people in the city of Bandung as a trusted way for the wedding procession to run smoothly. In the development of the era of globalization, the tradition has changed due tothe people of the city of Bandung who are easy to get the flow of modernization so that people prefer service products that are more efficient and practical. This has resulted in the emergence of service providers who modify the ngaras and trap traditions that follow market demand to get maximum commodity value. This research, is a description of the analysis using qualitative research methods. The theory used is the Commodification.
