Special interest of this work is so called cognitive conflict which is familiar in the domain of education. It is proposed to form the set of If - Then rules in order to describe model behavior including its cognitive component. The preliminary experiment is conducted and it is concluded that inclusion of the set of If Then rules is possible into the software application based on RECgD –PiE model.","PeriodicalId":378688,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics","volume":"114 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128518127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The retrofitting consists of optics, equipped with a CCD camera, for capturing the line sizes and distances, an appropriate illumination system, a motion system carrying the scale and providing linear motion at constant speed. The paper starts with discussing the various definitions of the pitch distance. From these definitions simple algorithms, to determine the pitch distance, are derived. The main point is to minimize the effect of non-linearity and diffraction, by using appropriate optics and illumination, hereby improving measurement accuracy. The carriage carrying the scale is driven by ultrasonic piezomotor providing nanometer resolution. The displacement is measured by an HP laser interferometer. For higher resolution the CCD camera system can be replaced by a near field microscope.","PeriodicalId":378688,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics","volume":"15 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-10-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114012714","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hybrid simulation can simulate qualitative factors in business quantitatively using Monte Carlo simulation that executes simulations repeatedly using random numbers. Because of using not equation but random numbers, it is difficult to search inputs deriving target outputs that a business manager expects. The general approach, an iterative search method of inputs, takes much time in case of large-scale simulation. So, we propose a search method using neighbor selection by sensitivity analysis. Until the target outputs are derived, our method repeats generating neighbors of a certain inputs and selecting a neighbor that tends to derive target outputs. The neighbor is selected by sensitivity analysis, which is based on a distribution distance defined by target outputs and simulated outputs in terms of averages and variances of distributions. By applying our method to a qualitative and quantitative model, it is confirmed that the computational time is decreased by our method.","PeriodicalId":378688,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127575735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a software solution that enables quick and comfortable work to librarians. Its purpose is keeping evidence of all books and magazines in a library and retaining information regarding checkout of these books and magazines. It considerably shortens time needed to find a person that borrowed particular book, data regarding book funds of the library and to generate reports needed for library functioning. Development of application for school libraries is realized using C# programming language at the .NET Framework 2.0 platform. Apart of evidence regarding borrowed and returned books, the program enables sending complete book list on the Internet in XML format. The list is sent by FTP on certain location at the server where school presentation is, and then it is parsed and shown in accordance to wishes and needs of particular school.","PeriodicalId":378688,"journal":{"name":"2009 7th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132503856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Hungarian and Serbian governments have foreseen the initiation of such projects. On the one hand, papers submitted to this conference deal with new educational methods that make a valuable contribution to the cooperation of institutions in higher education. On the other hand, the majority of these works focus on intelligent systems that can be successfully implemented in various areas of developing industries all over the world.
