Therefore, patients with diabetes mellitus with diabetic ulcers require wound care to reduce the risk of amputation. One alternative material that can be used for wound care is the topical application of pure honey. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of honey dressing on the healing process of diabetic ulcers through a literature review. The databases used include PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and Garuda. Keywords using (((honey) OR honey dressing) AND wound healing) AND diabetic ulcer) OR diabetic foot ulcer. The library sources used are from 2010-2020. The search results obtained 9,507 articles. Furthermore, articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, obtained 11 articles. The assessment of articles uses a checklist on the JBI (Joanna Briggs Institute) assessment list. Eleven articles that met the assessment criteria were then analyzed one by one. The results showed that eleven articles showed the effect of giving honey dressing on the healing process of diabetic ulcers. A total of 3 articles showed wound healing based on changes in score, 2 articles based on changes in grade, 5 articles based on changes in wound characteristics, and 2 articles based on healing time. Of the eleven journals analyzed, honey dressing on diabetic ulcers were most effectively used in wound Grade I and II (Wagner Classification) ulcer patients who received drug therapy with a GDS <200 mg/dL and received daily wound care for 1 month. Healthcare professionals may consider using honey dressings for the treatment of diabetic ulcers. In addition to a more affordable price, honey has good benefits for wound healing. Further research is needed on the type of honey that is more effective as an ingredient in wound care.","PeriodicalId":378592,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Local Therapy","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127241521","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The incidence of obesity is related to diet, energy intake, physical activity, and sleep duration. Energy intake that is greater than the calories expended can be one of the triggers for obesity. Dried takokak contains high carbohydrates and low fat. Based on data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency in 2017, the level of ice cream consumption in Indonesia was 22.64% and increased in 2018 with the percentage to 26.38%. Ice cream made using skim milk has a lower fat content because skim milk contains 1% fat so that it can increase protein and reduce fat content in ice cream. Drinking tea is now growing in the trend of health drinks and lifestyle. Several studies state that tea is suitable for consumption by obese people. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the level of consumption of energy and macronutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates) in the control respondents with the treatment respondents and to analyze the differences in the consumption levels of the respondents before and after the intervention was given. This type of research is a Quasi Experimental study with the treatment of giving tea and takokak ice cream. The design used in this study is the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. In this study there were four treatment groups, namely P0 = control, P1 = takokak ice cream, P2 = takokak tea, and P3 = combination. Respondents in this study had an age range of 30-49 years with nutritional status >23. The consumption level of respondents was obtained from food recall data for 14 consecutive days. The difference in consumption levels before and after the intervention was given to the treated group, if the data were normally distributed, it was tested using the Paired t-test. After the Paired t-test was carried out, there were significant differences in the level of energy consumption and macronutrients (protein and carbohydrates) after the intervention was given to each group. In the four groups there was no significant difference in the level of fat consumption. After the One Way Anova test, there were no significant differences in the level of energy consumption, protein, fat, and between groups. Suggestions for this research need to do further research using appropriate targets with the given intervention.","PeriodicalId":378592,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Local Therapy","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117023596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Various efforts to overcome the problem of malnutrition in children include providing food that contains high energy and protein, which can be obtained from Sule Sukari ice cream made from soy milk with the addition of Sukari Dates paste which is high in energy and protein. This research was conducted at the Food Science Laboratory, Department of Nutrition, Poltekkes Mataram in December 2021 using an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor, namely the addition of Sukari date fruit paste consisting of 5 treatment levels (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%), 3 repetitions each. Organoleptic trait data were collected by hedonic organoleptic test and statistically processed using Analysis Of Variance (One Way Annova) at 95% confidence level (? = 0.05). Acceptability data was obtained through the acceptance test for elementary school-aged children in grades 4, 5 and 6 at SDN Bejelo, while nutrient data was obtained through a proximate test conducted at the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry, University of Mataram. The addition of Sukari date fruit paste had a significant effect on the organoleptic properties, namely the color, taste and texture of Sule Sukari ice cream (p<0.05). Based on the organoleptic test, t3(20%) was the most preferred treatment by the panelists. The proximate test results showed that the selected Sule Sukari ice cream had a moisture content of 62.64%, ash content 0.84%, fat content 10.01%, protein content 3.70% and carbohydrates 22.81%. In the acceptance test, there were 30 people (93.7%) categorized as good acceptance and 2 people (6.3%) from 32 children.
