For some applications, however, there are limitations of using a VNA in terms of cost and bulkiness. This work presents an alternative low-cost mobile instrument for complex permittivity measurement of liquid samples using resonant cavity method. With the proposed instrument, resonant frequencies and quality factors have been measured in cases of an empty cavity and cavity loaded with materials under test including distilled water (high dielectric loss), ethanol (moderate dielectric loss) and diesel fuel (low dielectric loss). From the measured resonant parameters, complex permittivity values have been derived. Good agreement of measurement results when using the proposed system and when using a VNA can be achieved. By using cavity perturbation method described in the literature, relative complex permittivity can be determined from the measured resonant parameters. The values agree well with theoretical ones from the table of material properties.","PeriodicalId":377853,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE Fifth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"291 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116241836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The subcarrier binary phase-shift keying (SC-BPSK) signalling is assumed and at each relay node, an APD is used for signal detection and amplification. Closed-form expressions of outage probability and average bit error rate (BER) are analytically derived taking into account the impact of atmospheric turbulence and APD receiver noise by using the moment matching method. The analysis is verified by Monte-Carlo simulation and a good agreement between the analytical and simulation results is confirmed.","PeriodicalId":377853,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE Fifth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123450794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To exploit spatial diversity, beamforming transmission is implemented at the transceivers of the primary and secondary networks. Particularly, exact expressions for the outage probability and symbol error rate (SER) of the primary transmission and tight bounded expressions for the outage probability and SER of the secondary transmission are derived. Furthermore, an asymptotic analysis for the primary network, which is utilized to investigate the diversity and coding gain of the network, is developed. Finally, numerical results are presented to show the benefits of the proposed system.","PeriodicalId":377853,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE Fifth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"433 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122471190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to examine the improvement of the phase noise of the oscillator in this design, the second-mode face shear square resonator is employed in this study. By carefully designing the exact support beam locations that minimize the anchor loss, the proposed resonator achieved very high quality factor (exceeding 700,000 with T-shaped support structure). With lager dimensions than previous fundamental mode counterparts at the same frequency (more than two times), the second-mode shows many advantages over the former, such as (1) higher quality factor Q; (2) lower motional resistance Rx (achieved 82.1 Ω with 0.25 μm in gap size). Hence, the designed oscillator based on the new resonator shows the phase noise of -156 dBc/Hz at 1 KHz offset from the carrier and -158 dBc/Hz noise floor.","PeriodicalId":377853,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE Fifth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128538597","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Phishing website is a fake website that looks similar to legitimate site in terms of interface and uniform resource locator (URL) address. Therefore, the numbers of victim have been increasing due to inefficient methods using blacklist to detect phishing. This paper proposed a new technique that apply fuzzy logic based on the features of URL to detect phishing sites. In this paper, a novel multipath mitigation method, which based on a combination of correlation functions and nonlinear algorithm, is proposed. This method could be applied to Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) modulated signals, which are adopted by both GNSS like the modernized Global Positioning System (GPS) and Galileo. Moreover, GNSS receivers could use this method in order to diminish the power of side peaks in autocorrelation function of BOC(n,n) signals while keeping the sharp of main peak. The PMP aims to achieve very-high speed decoder. This view point is extremely important in magnetic recording systems where data rate must be high but decoding delay should be low. Recently, the result of symbol based (SB) PMP decoding compared with SB-TE (SB-BCJR combined with q-ary LDPC) on PR channels is presented. However, the bit error rate cannot be equivalent to the SB-BCJR. Motivated by this issue, we introduced cycle-free SB-PMP detector combined with usage of optimal schedule in exchanging information between detector and decoder. Our proposed system could achieve both high speed decoding and identical performance to SB-TE. Additional, alternative method to construct a trellis for SB-PMP detector was presented.","PeriodicalId":377853,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE Fifth International Conference on Communications and Electronics (ICCE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129460846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
