CNN is suited for image processing such as noise reduction and edge detection.Small World Cellular Neural Networks(SWCNN) is a CNN extended by adding a small world link, which is global short-cut. SWCNN has better performance than CNN. One of weak points of SWCNN is fault tolerance. We proposed multiple SWCNN layers in order to improve fault tolerance of SWCNN. However, it is not sufficient because only stop failure is considered. In this paper, we propose Stateful Reliability Counter for Triple Modular Redundancy(Stateful RC-TMR) method in order to improve tolerance.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"212 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121231488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There has been no consensus on underlying question of “What is structuring in SS?” This paper focuses on articulating in the form of a reference model a set of required elements, functions, and actions for structuring SS knowledge and on realizing a part of that reference model by developing a prototype knowledge system for mapping relevant concepts and their linkages in SS. First, we develop a reference model composed of five layers. Second, we develop an ontology-based mapping tool as a tentative solution at Layer 2 of the reference model. Third, we assess whether the developed tool is compliant with the reference model for SS. This study concluded that the developed tool can facilitate divergent exploration, the function of Layer 2.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124925214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among many system components for supporting of SLA-aware Grid jobs, the SLA mapping module holds an important position. To find a mapping solution, the mapping algorithms have to search over a large search space. This situation leads to a compromise between the runtime of the algorithms and the quality of the mapping solutions. This paper presents a way of using parallelized mapping algorithms based on the proposed algorithms to improve the quality of the mapping solutions while maintaining the runtime of the mapping module. Performance measurements thereby deliver evaluation results showing the quality of the method.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124957791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper we design and implement MixMobGen, a mobility generator for ad hoc vehicular applications, which takes into account mixed vehicular conditions. This is the first mobility model that takes into account, both, slow and fast vehicles. While speed for highway traffic has been modeled following a normal distribution, two studies on the mixed traffic show that speed follows a multimodal or bimodal distribution, instead. In this paper we a) design and implement MixMobGen, a realistic mobility generator that models mixed traffic conditions. b) evaluate protocol performance in 802.11 network protocols using NS 2 simulator.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117005155","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As energy is a crucial characteristic of those networks, it is necessary to pay attention both to the energy consumption and to the distribution of energy consumption, when using communication protocols, so as to increase the lifetime of the whole network. Our aim is to present and discuss criterion designed to analyze communication protocol effectiveness. When designing, for example, communication protocols, it is really important to measure performances with a suitable metric according to our application, else it would be difficult to analyze and to improve a protocol. In this paper, we draw a list of existing criterion, and then introduce two new ones : Average Node Percentage and Monitored Interest Point Percentage. We also point out the relevance regarding the required application for each criterion.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129881404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper analyses the current situation. Instead of simplistic metrics that take only snapshots of the life-cycle of a product into consideration, an approach is introduced that covers the whole supply chain. The core idea is that end-to-end transparency, specific data models, a process architecture, modern data management and analysis techniques are the key to make informed decisions, optimizations and to execute international policies. The particular role of ICT in such a future economy is discussed.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130375385","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The simultaneous dealing of background modeling and foreground segmentation has the effect that the two processes constrain each other positively, such that a good estimate of the background can be obtained with a small number of frames, and a temporal change in the scene is reflected quickly in the construction of the background image. Furthermore, the simultaneous level set based contour smoothing eliminates spurious regions, and smoothes the contour that encompasses the object, so that a good representation for the boundary of the object is obtained. The level set based approach makes it possible to derive a level set based Euler-Lagrangian equation, which can be directly implemented and works in real-time.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130662948","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Time-series microarray data are gene expression values generated from microarray experiments within certain time intervals. Scientists can infer gene regulations in a biological system by judging whether two genes present similar gene expression values in microarray time-series data. Recently, a great many methods are widely applied on microarray time-series data to find out the similarity and the correlation degree among genes. Existing approaches including traditional Pearson coefficient correlation, Bayesian networks, clustering analysis, classification methods, and correlation analysis have individual disadvantages such as high computational complexity or they may be unsuitable for some microarray data. Traditional Pearson correlation coefficient is a numeric measuring method which gives novel effectiveness on two sets of numeric data. However, it is not suitable to be applied on microarray time-series data because of the existence of outliers among gene expression values. This paper presents a novel method of applying Pearson correlation coefficient along with an outlier filtering procedure on the widely-used microarray time-series datasets. Results show that the proposed method produces a better outcome compared with traditional Pearson correlation coefficient on the same dataset. Results show that the proposed method not only can find out certain more known regulatory gene pairs, but also keeps rational computational time.","PeriodicalId":377538,"journal":{"name":"2009 International Conference on Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123636788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
