This method does not require manual intervention to achieve camera calibration, the detection process can be carried out rapidly and accurately, and the use of machine learning methods Haar+Adaboost classifier are trained to determine pedestrians. At the same time, the hybrid Gauss background model is adopted to separate the foreground from the multi frame images, and then the local minimum matrix method is used to further lock the pedestrian change range. The method can real-time calculate and calculate all the pedestrians in the video window, and automatically update the camera parameters at the same time by iterative method. Experimental results show that this method can realize real-time pedestrian detection and counting with low false detection rate, so it is feasible and effective.","PeriodicalId":376884,"journal":{"name":"2017 9th International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121609529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, constant envelop OFDM is suitable for next generation communication system. However, the phase noise in communication system must be estimated, especially with the increase of communication frequency. In this paper, a phase noise estimation scheme is proposed for constant envelop OFDM system under additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel. By inserting pilot symbols in the transmitter, noisy term of these symbols are prior in the receiver. Phase noise of them are prior by neglecting additive noise term, and then phase noise of every sampling points can be calculated by adaptive method. Linear interpolation scheme is proved to be optimum in some cases due to the characteristic of phase modulation under the Bayesian Criterion, Simulation results show that the proposed scheme performs well at high carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) conditions.","PeriodicalId":376884,"journal":{"name":"2017 9th International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128982378","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The range of rich sensed information can be post-processed. To address this issue, a novel design in which multiple sensors are deployed on Public Transportation Buses (PTBs) that act as on-board Mobile Sensing Information Gathering Centers (MSIGCs) is proposed. MSIGC is used to monitor the outdoor and in-vehicle air quality, the road traffic congestion and to provide guidance concerning public transport selection. The novelty of the MSIGC approach is that it can provide a more comprehensive sensing capability in terms of a distributed deployment of multiple sensors. Furthermore, additional sleep nodes designed as part of the sensor network improve the fault-tolerance of the MSIGC. Finally, the utilization of an embedded system helps to provide a powerful pre-processing capability. The experimental results show that the proposed MSIGC system can meet the need for real-time environment and road traffic monitoring together with providing guidance for passengers.","PeriodicalId":376884,"journal":{"name":"2017 9th International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124600631","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The poly-silicon silicon LED can emit light at 0.98V voltage when it works at the positive Carrier injection mode. The dark current of the photodetector is just a few picoampere (pA) and a big photocurrent versus dark current ratio was got when the current of LED is 200 mA. The light emitted by LEDs transmits through the waveguide can be detected by the photodetector. As a pillar is shrinking to sub-micrometer size, the surface roughness induced by imperfect fabrication process will dramatically influence the quality of such cavity, because of the edge-scattering of cavity modes. Here, we investigated this effect by using finite-difference-time-domain methods. For a micropillar cavity consisting of distributed Bragg-reflectors, the surface roughness is modeled by dividing the disk-shaped layer into a few randomly polygonal layers. One example is the investigation on the InGaAsP/InP-air-aperture micropillar cavity, which is a promised candidate for a 1.55-μm quantum-dot single-photon source. For such cavity, our results show that for short wavelength, both the Q factor and the output efficiency decrease with the increase of the surface roughness. Where, we define the surface roughness as a relative value of radius. It is worth noting that with a surface roughness of 0.01, ∼1.3 nm for the InP layers and ∼4.7 nm for the InGaAsP layers, the Q factor is close to 90% of the one without any roughness, which suggests that the fabrication process should satisfy a control precision at nanometer level, in order to make a micropillar cavity with good quality.","PeriodicalId":376884,"journal":{"name":"2017 9th International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130784232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, it is still a challenging work, especially in enhancing the high-resolution (HR) image quality and validating the algorithms. This paper proposes a super-resolution reconstruction method based on sparse dictionary learning and non-local self-similarity. Firstly, we assume that HR and low-resolution (LR) image blocks have the same sparse representation coefficients. The LR dictionary and sparse representation coefficients are obtained by using the K-SVD algorithm. Then an intermediate HR result is reconstructed by utilizing the HR training image feature blocks. Finally, the non-local similarity regularization is performed to estimate the final HR image to eliminate the artificial traces of the intermediate result which further improves the reconstruction effect. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can better restore the edge details and improve the quality of HR image compared with the existing methods.","PeriodicalId":376884,"journal":{"name":"2017 9th International Conference on Advanced Infocomm Technology (ICAIT)","volume":"136 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115914118","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
