These heavy metal ions include lead, cadmium, copper, arsenic, nickel, chromium, zinc, and mercury. These metals have been recognized as hazardous heavy metals because of their high degree of toxicity. Initially, copper was selected to determine the effects of metals present in recycled water during the washing process because of its extensive usage in the textile industry. However, copper becomes a part of process water while manufacturing and even a part of recycled water. Furthermore, recycled water contains such traces of metal that can cause problems during its reuse. In the current research, the presence of copper ions in water was simulated with copper sulphate and the obtained water was used for washing of fabric after reactive dyeing. The effects of salt on washing of three different types of reactive dyes, that is, monochlrotriazine, dichlorotriazine and vinylsulphone were evaluated by washing of dyed fabric. Moreover, evaluation process was achieved with different concentrations of salt at different temperatures, pH values, and time intervals. Besides, K/S, fixation%, color uniformity, color change, washing fastness, and rubbing fastness of samples were measured during evaluation. Results were also compared with detergent and water wash. Eventually, the results showed that copper has a prominent effect on fabric. Hence, it would be possible to allow certain concentrations of copper during the process of washing. \u0000Index Terms: cotton, exhaust dyeing, metal ions, reactive dye, recycled water

Moreover, acid attack is a social concern which can cause physiological and economic problems. According to previous studies, 80% of the victims all around the world are women by gender. Hence, the current study is based on designing a women's wear collection for their safety. However, acid attack victims can’t use all types of fabrics to cover their burnt body parts. Therefore, beeswax is used to design their dresses which further facilitates them with the healing of their bruises. The application of beeswax finishes on the fabric is beneficial due to its natural characteristics which include antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, moisturizing / hydrating, and eco-friendly properties. The aim of this research project is to use both technology and art in designing floral and Zen motif patterns. The purpose of using them, as a source material for modifying and designing fabric, is to create an effective women’s wear collection. Furthermore, such collection is aesthetically pleasing and yields functional benefits to protect women’s skin from acid attacks as well. \u0000Index Terms: beeswax finish, couture, multi-functional, vitriol attack \u0000

The current study aims to design a space that provides a pollution free environment. This approach eliminates all the distracting elements and focuses on encouraging one’s interaction with others in a cozy environment. Although, it has been ages that the concept of cigar lounges in Pakistan has become obsolete. The current study aims to revive cigar lounge & to design a deluxe space to fulfill the demands of a cigar Aficionado. This study is focused to design such a space, which is specifically remodeled and acquiesced to create the vibe of a cigar lounge. The importance of the cigar lounge is to stipulate an ethical and smoke free space for the people who treasure to soot a cigar. People who smoke cigar illustrate a status symbol that differs from the typical soul who doesn’t smoke a cigar. They are prone to be more conscious about their style & status. So, it is a main purpose of the current study to match the personality of a cigar enthusiast through designing a cigar lounge with the ambiance itself. The representative words designating a cigar lounge are sophisticated, luxurious, casual and convivial. This study states that the interior of the cigar lounge is the blend of Gothic baroque, rococo and the Victorian era. Such styles create an ambiance, which define Grace, sumptuous, and prestige. The final expression of a cigar room is an opulence of vintage era, which aesthetically defines the absolute grandeur and exceptionality. \u0000Index Terms: Cigar Lounge, Convivial, Gothic, Luxurious, Victorian era, Vintage era.

Moreover, it is expected to cater all forms of study from the primary to the higher education sectors. This statement stands true for a design school as well. Whereas, the indoor built environment contains the ability to affect and unfolds the mind of the students and also provides social opportunities, which in turn, influence the ability of the learners to think from different perspectives. This study mainly strives to enable the learners to interact with the world around them and to grow their learning capacities rather than being limited to their desks. Furthermore, it also allows them to be able to speak freely without any mental constrains and fears that are usually uphold by the traditional classical settings of the classroom. Eventually, the understanding of these connections becomes the basis of the ‘Design Center’ that aims to use the interior design elements to create a chance of new meetings rooms. Hence, allowing it to become a stimulant for an active learning space. \u0000Index Terms: Active learning space, Cognition, Design Studio, Interior design, Spatial behavior.

The current study is based on the optimization of the dyeing process of biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) fiber using with natural dyes of turmeric extractions by using Soxhlet extraction technique. The dyeing process was carried out by using Daelim Starlet III, which is an infrared dyeing machine. Three independent variables were selected, including pH, time, and temperature. According to the standard test protocols, dyed samples were evaluated for color strength (K/S), CIELab values, fiber tenacity, and fiber elongation. ANOVA test results of the Linear Model exhibited that the model terms have a significant effect on K/S and the physical strength of fiber. Moreover, the observed values were in agreement with the predicted values and the suggested equation model was satisfactory and accurate. A temperature of 100 °C with pH 5 and time duration of 30 minutes in the dyeing process were observed to achieve optimum dyed PLA fibers, exhibiting appreciable strength and elongation. Lastly, dyed fibers exhibited satisfactory color fastness ratings. \u0000Index Terms: color strength, exhaustion, natural dyeing, polylactic acid fiber, turmeric
