Data was collected by applying random probability sampling from 178 respondents through a survey method from employees of non-financial PSX listed firms. Linear regression was conducted through SPSS to test hypotheses. The regression results confirmed a positive and significant relationship between CSR and financial performance. The results further reveal a positive significant moderating role of ethical leadership between CSR and financial performance but no moderating role of social capital between CSR and financial performance. The study has implications for both scholars and management. The study has implications for both scholars and practitioners. The results reveal the vital role of a leader ethical conduct in implementing CSR practices and its positive effect on financial performance of an organization.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114651269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Variables were tapped using the Negative Acts Questionnaire, Organisational Deviance Measure, and Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ6). This study uses a correlation-causal design; data were drawn from a sample of 215 workers employed in telecom organizations and higher education institutes and universities based in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Linear and hierarchical regression techniques were used to test the hypothesized direct and moderating effects. Results confirmed both hypotheses, implying that workplace bullying offsets organizational deviance in bullied employees and that gratitude moderates the relationship. Theoretically, the study contributes to the current literature by signifying that workplace bullying triggers deviance in employees and that gratitude is an important variable that lessens the undesirable triggering of workplace deviance in bullied employees. Managers should create awareness about bullying and deviant acts at work and assert gratitude within the organizational environment through training and workshops to lessen bullying incidents and offset unwanted bullying outcomes. They are also advised to minimize bullying and its subsequent effects by establishing clarity in work design.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130746415","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Stock markets of Pakistan and China, i.e., KSE-100 and SSE-100, respectively, are the two most attractive stock markets after the official announcement of CPEC. Thus, the daily closing price of KSE-100 and SSE-100 Stock returns are used to evaluate the volatility forecast performance of the machine learning technique, GARCH family and the nonlinear regime-switching models. The findings of this study revealed that the standard GARCH model is the best-fitted model based on Akaike’s Information Criteria (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criteria (BIC). Furthermore, the forecast performance of the machine learning LSTM model outperforms other models based on RMSE for SSE-100. In contrast, the forecast performance of CGARCH for SSE-100 and the Markov-regime-switching model for KSE-100 outperforms other models based on MAE, MAPE, and SMAPE evaluation criteria. It is also revealed that the predictive power of the machine learning model is very close to CGARCH and MRS model; therefore, the LSTM model can be used as an alternative to GARCH and regime-switching models for stock market volatility. These findings will help national and international investors, policy-makers, geographical economists, and industrialists to use thebestforecastmodeltomakebetterpoliciesandgaintremendousprofit.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114265654","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose of this review paper is to highlight the importance of the OCB in educational settings. Educational institutes have leaders, employees and resources (tangible and intangible). OCB dimensions, in particular: altruism, civic virtue, courtesy, consciousness and sportsmanship, have shown great significance in making associations between employees more powerful thereby improving group performance and influencing positive outcomes of the organization and improvements in school outcomes (as nonprofit service institutions) require the expression of OCB by their employees. Organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) to stem negative behaviours and enhance positive workplace behaviours. Research has shown the benefits of critically examining the development of OCB in both school leadership and educators. This narrative review of the OCB construct focuses on the role, types, existence of, measurement of, and importance of OCB in educational settings. Implications for the next steps in the process are provided for policymakers, administrators, and teachers to promote OCB in their schools.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114068903","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It intends to explore the drivers and enablers of strategic sourcing and how the performance of these sources is measured. The study develops a framework for the Performance Measurement (PM) of Strategic Sourcing process. The research has been undertaken using the qualitative research methodology and is a case study of the footwear supply chain in Pakistan. The data is collected through semi-structured interviews, direct field observation, and related documents. The paper contributes to finding out the current practices to measure the performance of strategic sourcing and developing the criteria to measure strategic sourcing, especially in the footwear industry of Pakistan. Eleven approaches are proposed based on a case that will result in better prospects for supply chain development and strategic sourcing in the Pakistani footwear industry. The framework will serve as a guide for developing strategies for strategic sourcing. No previous study has been done in this region concerning strategic sourcing performance. Since this is a single case study, it cannot be statistically generalized. Analytical generalizations have been made nonetheless.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122915904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study tends to investigate the relationship between forgiveness, revenge, and well-being. The data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire from 101 participants in Karachi, Pakistan. To analyze the data, correlation & t-test were used, and the result showed no significant relation between forgiveness and well-being. Though, one of the surprising findings of the present study is that it shows a positive association between revenge and well-being. Moreover, no gender difference has been found in forgiveness and vengeance. The present study’s findings suggest that educational institutes and media should design programs that teach love, compassion, and empathy. As a result, it would help individuals make their lives better and build a peaceful society.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133526874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, it first examines the existing situation of inclusive growth and institutional quality of 86 countries. Later, it constructs indices of inclusive growth using social welfare function and institutional quality by apply principal component methodology on worldwide governance indicators. The fixed effect results suggest that Institutional quality is a major driver for achieving growth inclusiveness. A deep underpinning of the institutional variable indicates that inclusive growth is positively affected by the quality of economic and political institutions, while the effect of legal institutions was found insignificant. Furthermore, cross country evaluation of inclusive growth presented few thoughtful insights such as; in low income and lower income economies inclusive growth can be achieved by increasing the overall opportunities. Whereas, middle and high income economies need to enhance the equity prospects of opportunities to attain growth inclusiveness. This study by highlighting the role of institutional quality majorly contributes in existing set of literature of growth inclusiveness. It suggests that improved quality of institutions (rule of law, reduced corruption, regulatory quality, securing property rights and effective governance) can help in extending the opportunities to the unprivileged segment of the society, ensuring long term growth.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130377002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study further examines the moderating relationship of network competency on different components of the composition-based strategy (CBV) and financial performance. The study collects the data from 134 owners/managers of retail stores in Lahore, Pakistan. The data were analyzed with confirmatory factor analysis and hierarchical linear regression. The findings reveal that compositional competition and compositional capability positively relate to firm performance. The study only finds the significant moderating role of network competency between compositional capability and firm performance. This study advances the extant research in the strategic management literature by amalgamating resource utilization and a relationship-driven approach. This study further supports the notion that the composition-based view is an alternative strategic perspective for small firms. Future research work may advance the findings of this study by considering other measures of firm performance and replicating the study in different contexts.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132213865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A phenomenological methodology was used to uncover the lived experiences of these mothers. Results revealed the existence of 7 distinct themes that provided insight into the real experience of a mother raising a child with autism. Themes focused on the mothers mental frameworks, which included denial of red flags, mother-researcher, emotional paradox, cognitive processing, indicating the thought patterns and emotional processes the mother used in dealing with her child. Moreover themes such as Family dynamics, Societal micro-aggression, medical resistance, the unspoken bond and redefining inclusion were noted for a comprehensive understanding of the experience of raising a child with Autism. The results revealed that although it seems like it is a topic well known, mothers still lack the awareness to detect signs of autism and to manage them effectively, health professionals and families need to work in collaboration to uplift the mother and child from chronic periods of distress.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128912106","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the research, data was collected from 259 employees and HR managers from Pakistan manufacturing and service sector through self administered questionnaire. Moreover, two statistical software, SPSS and AMOS, have been employed for data analysis. The results have depicted a positive association between HR practices and the performance of employees. In addition, the study has revealed that work engagement and training sessions significantly mediate HR practices and employee performance. The study also emphasises manager development and gives credence to the implementation of HR practices which boost employee working passion. Consequently, these practices prove the instrumentality of training sessions in organisations. Employee productivity is improved through training sessions as well as work engagements. This research model is mainly the first to be studied within Pakistan with mediating role of training sessions and work engagements, keeping human capital theory at the centre.","PeriodicalId":375599,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Independent Studies and Research-Management, Social Sciences and Economics","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130592918","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
