In such networks, nodes are continuously moving, hence, seeking an efficient route from a particular source to projected destination is a vital issue. Moreover, choosing a secure route is a tough area to deal with since adversaries may include themselves within these routes unless a strict secure procedure is implemented along with routing protocols. In managed-open environment, such as that formed by peers at a conference, using already established infrastructure as a starting point for assuring security is likely. Thus, this research proposes a novel paradigm of routing protocol named S-Octopus. Through tackling with area as sectors and utilizing restricted directional flooding, S-Octopus tries to achieve improved scalability. Moreover, S-Octopus seeks to increase robustness and alleviate single point of failure and compromise problem via picking up numerous sector certificate authorities. Dai","doi":"10.18178/ijeetc.11.1.1-11","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.18178/ijeetc.11.1.1-11","url":null,"abstract":"This paper presents an architecture of the Doubly-Fed Induction Generator based on Wind Energy Conversion System (DFIG-WECS) to study with the Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) capability. The proposed architecture consists of three main parts namely the wind turbine, electric generator, control systems. The wind turbine and gearbox are modeled by a servo motor driven by using an inverter system. The electric generator uses the Wound Rotor Induction Generator (WRIG). The control system composes of the rotor-side converter (RSC) and the grid-side converter (GSC). The integration of the digital signal processor (DSP) with the Simulink/Matlab software of the vector control scheme is implemented to control both RSC and GSC. Besides, to protect the overcurrent of the generator’s rotor and overvoltage of the DC-link, the crowbar and chopper circuits and the logical scheme between the crowbar and the RSC are also proposed. A prediction algorithm of neural network is proposed to forecast the high frequency scattering parameters under different degrada-tion levels. The degraded high frequency parameters are extracted according to the developed equivalent model. Simulations are conducted to predict the scattering para-meters at the specific frequencies using the BP (back propagation) and Elman neural networks, and the prediction accuracy is further compared. The optimal location and size of DG will result in minimum active power losses and voltage profile improvement. This research proposes Novel Voltage Sensitivity Index (NVSI) and Stability Index (SI) methods to determine the optimal location and analytical expression to find optimal size and location of DG in Makassar distribution system, Feeder Kima, 76 buses to minimize active power losses and to improve voltage profile. Therefore, DG interconnection has a significant effect on improving the quality of the distribution network. The results show that the sensitivity method does not lead to the best placement DG in reducing active power losses. However, it is an analytical expression, which is very effective in determining optimal location and size of DG to reduce active power losses and to improve voltage profile in Makassar distribution system, Feeder Kima, 76 buses. The most optimal location for DG placement is on Bus 73 (Mega Sakti Pyramid), with a DG size of 0.8515MW. The linear mathematical model for gamma parameter along with the phase noise model of the proposed system is developed. To improve the loop dynamics, a new type of loop filter is designed by considering a parallel combination of second order passive low pass filter and a proportional-integral-derivative controller in place of the traditional loop filter. The transfer function of gamma parameter as well as noise sources of each component of the phase-locked loop is derived from the proposed model in s-domain. Simulation is carried out on MATLAB to study how gamma parameter impacts on system response as well as on the phase noise contribution to the proposed system. The impact of gamma parameter on lock time, phase margin and loop bandwidth is also studied for gamma parameter less than one and greater than one. Finally, a comparison is done between second order low pass filter, proportional-integral-derivative controller and the newly designed loop filter. The image processing algorithms used in this work for developing a vision-based system for autonomous driving. Before actual implementation on hardware, the algorithms are first tested in simulation. The time-synchronized data feed is collected from the sensors of the robot. Then the collected data is further processed to perform controlling actions using actuators.
