But what we can say at the very starting point of this adventure is the need to keep us in touch with reality, that kind of reality that deals with the possibility to interact with others through the senses and sciences. And sometimes, sciences let the innovations be possible in order to help senses.","PeriodicalId":374697,"journal":{"name":"Senses and Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130598496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: Two researchers independently translated the English version into Italian. The approved version was administered twice, with an interval of one week between each administration. Interreader agreement was assessed by calculating the intraclass correlation coefficient, using kappa (κ) statistic. Results: 29 athletes were participated at the study. 18 have completed twice the questionnaire. Five out ten items resulted perfectly agree or substantial agreement. The items descriptive or more punctual resulted with a perfect agreement, such as definition of acute injury description of the location, the participation to contests. Conclusion: The online administration shown a satisfy response rate (70%) and an usability of the tool.","PeriodicalId":374697,"journal":{"name":"Senses and Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128482423","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has been estimated that 50 to 80% of all African women who migrated to Italy morethan 5 years ago, underwent some form of FGM. Two-third of these have been found to be afraid of seeking gynecological care.Only a small proportion of the 60% who have a vaginal delivery receive appropriate care (anesthesia and de-infibulation). FGM isresponsible for specific short and long-term complications that include uro-gynaecological, obstetric, infectious, psychological andsexual consequences requiring appropriate care.The Department of Reproductive Health and Research (RHR) of the WHO has recently published new guidelines on themanagement of health complications from FGM with up-to-date, evidence-based recommendations. The European Union has alsorecently launched an E-learning tool to improve knowledge of healthcare for asylum-seekers among professionals. Its aims are toprovide easily accessible information and support to professionals dealing with FGMAim: The main scope of the project proposed is: to map existing referral centres and centres with expertise on women and girls livingwith FGM in Italy and make this information available for professionals and the women concerned (website, professional boards).In addition we aim to define the scientific, clinical and organisational requirements for such centres and to implement updated andevidence-based training courses in obstetric and gynaecological diagnosis and management of FGM (in particular defibulation) andits complications at a national level. Training courses will also provide useful information on further subjects, such as asylum-seekersand FGM and the legal situation concerning FGM. Finally we hope to promote research on the economical impact of FGM.","PeriodicalId":374697,"journal":{"name":"Senses and Sciences","volume":" 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"113952321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Sport has always carried an important and inclusive value and,through an appropriate and efficient management of the technological potential available, it is possible to break down furtherbarriers.In this regard, a research analysis on some athletes of an amateur football club composed of 4 subjects with disabilities was carriedout to assess the differences in terms of final performance, a training strategy carried out through a technological support(Powersprint), and a traditional one.","PeriodicalId":374697,"journal":{"name":"Senses and Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126210982","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After three months surgical treatmen, remains a small angle strabismus aesthetically acceptable, has not given double vision and remains abnormal retinal correspondence with orthotic exercise.","PeriodicalId":374697,"journal":{"name":"Senses and Sciences","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128381442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
