This study was a cross sectional survey with quantitative method. The population of this study was the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja in academic year 2017/2018. Simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique. The total number of the sample was 110 students who were chosen randomly from 11 classes. The data was gathered by using questionnaire. Then, it was analyzed by finding out the percentage of the students’ speaking anxiety level and mean score for the most dominant factor influencing students’ speaking anxiety. The result of this study showed that most of the students were in mildly anxious level with the percentage 51%. It followed by 24% students felt anxious and 24% of them felt relaxed. Additionaly, 1% student was categorised as very anxious level and only 1% of was in very relaxed level. Finally, in this present study, it was found that cognitive factor was the most dominant factor influencing students speaking anxiety.","PeriodicalId":373966,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Psychology and Instructions","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117045163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The population of this research was 339 fifth grade students in Cluster I in Kuta Utara district. The sample was chosen by random sampling. It was obtained that fifth grade A students of SD No. 7 Dalung (34 students) as experimental group and the fifth grade A students of SD No. 4 Dalung (28 students) as control group. The data were collected by using objective test of multiple choice. Around 40 items have been validated. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics of t-test analysis. Based on the result of t-test analysis, there were obtained tvalue = 6,778 and ttable (at a significance level of 5% with dk = (34+28)-2 = 60) = 2,000. This indicated that tvalue > ttable so it could be concluded that there was significant difference of science achievement between the groups taught by Quantum Learning based with Mind Map and the groups taught by Conventional Learning. It can be concluded that there was the effect of Quantum learning model with mind mapping towards the science achievement of fifth-grade elementary students of Cluster I in Kuta Utara district in academic year of 2017/2018.","PeriodicalId":373966,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Psychology and Instructions","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130200955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The population of this research is the 114 fifth grade students on Cluster III Banjar District, Buleleng Regency in academic year 2017/2018 as well. Meanwhile, the samples of the research are 17 fifth grade students from SD Negeri 2 Dencarik and 15 fifth grade students from SD Negeri 3 Dencarik. Assessment of speech is used as the instrument of data collection. Then, the collected data is analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (t-test). Tcal = 6,93 > ttab = 1,69 is obtained based on the results of analysis which means that there is significant difference between students who were taught by using puppet show as media of role-play supporting model and students who were not taught by using puppet show for Bahasa as learning subject for second semester of fifth grade elementary school on Cluster III of Banjar District, Buleleng Regency in academic year 2017/2018. This researcher suggests that it can be used as a guide in further research about puppest show as media of role-play supporting model in Bahasa or any other subject as field of study.","PeriodicalId":373966,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Psychology and Instructions","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131469418","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
